Badmike wrote in Number of Ebay shithead sellers on the increase:My advice is to walk away. Not worth getting into a pissing contest over this item. He made a dumb mistake, and I cannot believe after not getting any bids he's going to sell it for that much, but it's not worth the heartburn it could cause to mess with this. In all things, keep Ebay/Paypal management out of everything just like in all things, keep those morons in the government/IRS out of your personal affairs.Mike B.
PM-Knight wrote in Number of Ebay shithead sellers on the increase:Seller is definitely NOT a "S***head", but if you are looking to purchase, please ask about the conditions. I did not  eBay ID: PREDFANThank you for you patronage, however I did list the books as used, used books sometimes have highlighting. The highlighting was minimal in only two of the several books I sold you and really does not impede your ability to use the books. I do not feel that it is fair that you ask for any type of refund again the books were listed as used and other than the highlighting they were in very good condition. I do wish you would have asked more questions, I am sorry your purchase was not 100% the way you wanted.Just to be clear, here is what I wrote about the books I received:I was somewhat disappointed with two of the books. Mists of Betrayal had significant highlighting (blue and pink) throughout the book, while Parlainth Adventures had three passages highlighted in purple. There are Buy It Now options available, which would cost about $17.50 to get these two books in comparable condition, without the highlighting. Would you be amenable to splitting the difference ($8.75), since I should have asked more about their conditions? Please let me know.I had no aspirations of receiving any kind of refund, but thought my logic was not unwarranted, so I decided to ask, as some sellers do not realize the condition of the things they are selling and will be somewhat amenable.Just an FYI
Badmike wrote in Number of Ebay shithead sellers on the increase:If you take pictures of the defective product (and I would consider highlighted product defective, and return them) and include them with the not as described claim, sometimes you don't have to mail back the items, Ebay will just refund you.Mike B.
PM-Knight wrote in Number of Ebay shithead sellers on the increase:Howdy All,Got a new one ... eBay Seller ID: db7h9wHere are the facts:Won two items (Dark Legacy Of Evard & Lair Assault - Attack of the Tyrant Claw) and when I received the invoice, the shipping was listed as $12 for Standard Shipping. The listings said to contact seller about shipping options, so I sent the following message at 9:36pm:"Howdy, I just saw the invoice and wanted to inquire what "Standard" shipping would be. These items are not bulky by any means, so I know that Media Mail would only be a few bucks, but Priority would be about six bucks for a Flat Rate envelope. Please let me know which method you are opting to use. Thanks in Advance - Paul"Here was the response I received at 11:29pm:"Please let me know if you will pay the invoice, or if you will submit a 'cancel transaction' request so I can resist the items."I did not see the response and went to work today, then had a chance to check my emails to see that the seller cancelled the transaction at 1:37pm PDT_Armataz_01_02 WTF!?!Anyhow, I paid the invoice and he supposedly sent the items, so I will see what happens. Please be forewarned.Thank you,

I've had to do that on a few occassions, especially when sellers were charging 3x (or more) for what turns out to be economy rate. Re-using boxes and filler (thankfully no trash) so not paying for any packaging, but charging me for it. Or even when they weren't using boxes at all.. just plain brown wrapping paper and calling it a day!

You agree, and even if he spends $8 on shipping you get nothing back. I tried. They shot me down because I knew about the cost up front. I appealed, and got shot down again, same reason. They get their cut from the shipping now so they don't care, you know?Zenfinite
