Sweet!

Where do they meet?

Shhh... as you know, that information is only for 4th Level Prolific Collectors

Really?  I'll never get there!  ;-)

C'mon...we all recognize D&D illuminati by their C'thulhu facial hair!

Back in 1986, a fellow appeared on The 700 Club who was a former employee and game writer for TSR. He testified right on the show that he got into a wrangle with the management there because he saw that the rituals were too authentic and could be dangerous. He protested to his boss and was basically told that this was the intent—to make the games as real as possible. He felt conscience-stricken (even though he was not a Christian at the time), and felt he had to resign from the company.

Saw this at Straight Talk on Dungeons and Dragons

Anyone have any info on this?

How accurate is the claim?
Who was the employee?  Is that really what they said?  Did they actually resign and for that reason?

Straight talk?  Utter rubbish.  It was a challenge to even wade through that self-righteous crap.  This far-flung fantasy D&D world concocted by William Schnoebelen is unbelievable.  Perhaps there are people that do these types of things, but they didn't, and don't, represent the D&D gaming community, even remotely.  "Do-It-Yourself Brainwashing"? What was he doing? "A Closer Look at the Characters" Really????

WOW!  I never laughed so hard

I would not surprise me if this moron had to repent every time he took a dump!

That would be Gali Sanchez.
Nice enough guy. Worked hard to make something of himself.
He was part of the task force we put together to examine all of D&D with respect to occultism & fundamentalists.
(Gary was opposed to spending the resources btw; we already knew what parts came from mythology, and where.)

Then opportunity knocked... leave TSR to go join fellow workers, headed by VP John Ricketts, and start Pacesetter in the next town over.
Then Pacesetter started to fail, and he sought a way to regain the spotlight... and sought out the 700 Club for fame & glory.

Didn't quite work out like he hoped, since nothing in D&D promotes real-world occultism et al.

My friends Dave & Gary made a quantum leap in entertainment. Remember them.

To your commentary Frank, D&D is like everything else in the world that has a base of followers, religion and politics being two major examples.  There will always be some people that will distort and manipulate to promote/justify their cause or agenda.

Interesting.
Thanks, Frank.

BTW, do you recall who else jumped over to Pacesetter?
