Hi,

oh, wow, is Shreveport a real place? What about Bon Temps then?

When we arrive depends on flight costs. We would like to arrive Wed, but AA have removed all their award flights for that afternoon (I dont think they were booked as as several afternoons just disappeared at once). Normal flight price is about $225 each.
For that money we could get a 5* hotel in Miami, then catch an award flight up to Dallas in the morning.
However, if AA opens up some awards, then we'll arrive in Dallas on the Wed

If you are going to stay in Miami, let me know, I can give you some great recommendations for hotels, bars, restaurants, etc.

Hey, one thing to note, there are two nearby airports. DFW airport is very close to the con and a free shuttle goes from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. Love Field airport is NOT close, it is in Dallas, and the shuttle will not pick you up there...you'll have to take a taxi and it is very expensive. Just an FYI when you have to pick what airport to fly into.

Hi!

I don't post often here though I thought I'd get this up before it consumes me with guilt. This guy sat 90% finished for the last three months. Pics are a bit dim, but he'll be attending the next â€˜con, so see how he looks in the flesh then.

..Or just buy one and support the â€˜con! Would love to see more painted copies up. :wink:

I also still have a diorama for the con to complete (again nearly complete), but as I would like to enter it in a competition, it's getting very VERY fussy.

Breaking News!

Doug has posted the decision for the finalists of the 2012 Three Castles Award for NTRPG con this year. Sounds like they had some tough decisions to make this year, I think all four of the finalists are worthy of the honor. The award winner will be announced at this year's NTRPG con....judges are Dennis Sustare, Sandy Peterson, Steve Marsh, Zeb Cook and Rob Kuntz. Congratulations to all this year's finalists, and thanks to the steering committe for your choices!

The Steering Committee has reviewed all the entries for the 2012 award and have decided that only 4 are to be sent to the judges. This is allowed if the Committee feels that some entries are extremely better than other and the gap between entries warrants sending less than 5 to the judges.

So for 2012, there will only be 4 finalists, which are (listed in alphabetical order):

ASE1 - Anomalous Subsurface Environment by Patrick Wetmore

Realms of Crawling Chaos by Daniel Proctor & Michael Curtis

Stars Without Number by Kevin Crawford

Tome of Adventure Design by Matt Finch & Bill Webb
