TonyaPatrick wrote in Troll and Toad & Titan run by the same guy?:My name is Tonya Patrick. Formerly Tonya King. I have never actually done business on Amazon/eBay.

My father operated those businesses under my name when he was kicked off for violating their rules of conduct.

I sure do appreciate all the nasty things people have to say about me though :) Especially the comments about my personal appearance.

If any of you had ever met my father you should probably have realized he was capable of lying and deceiving people.

Bygones. Welcome to the forum!  You can dish as much as you want here....

Alright-ey let's dish on then.

I would advise that no-one do business with Troll and Toad. My father is in charge (Manager) of their retail operations. My stepmother is in their human resources department and they are still run as shoddily as they have been in the past. My sister used to grade items which she did a HORRIBLE job at. Then she got fired. Then she got re-hired because of my father working for them. So, anyone doing business with Troll and Toad should not expect any accuracy whatsoever :)

As far as gaming goes, I love a good D&D game though I haven't participated in one in a few years.

ALSO, during ownership of Titan Games, he paid all his employees under the table and was a notorious tax dodger. When he feared someone had caught on he would put his employees on the books for 10 hours and all of the rest would be off the books. Me he worked mercilessly and without anywhere near minimum wage pay for over 10 years. When he did pay me it was irregular and if he wanted to go out to eat that came ahead of paying his employees. The fictional employee's that would be the cause of shipping issues he created himself. When he posted as me, my sister, Melissa  , and anybody else I have failed to remember it was him and his delusions trying to sound like the employee he was imitating.

I hope he sees this post. I hope someone that works at Troll and Toad sees it and that he reads it and realizes that people know he is just a low-down, rotten, lying, cheating (yes even on his current wife and probably still does) , child beating buffoon with the business acumen of a ratty lamp shade.

This is the good dirt I come here to get.  :D

If this is true I apologize for any comments made about your shipping or grading methods.  It sounds pretty much like high-grade identity theft, sort of like a parent stealing their kid's social security number to take out a credit card and ruin their credit by piling up debt.

Rightey-o Badmike. And, as sad as it may be, that is not the least of it.

Thankfully, to my recollection, I have not done bidness with either "company."

I would just like to clarify that John DuBois the current owner of the Titan Games brick and mortar store is a stand-up guy. There is no nicer guy to do business with and he doesn't take advantage of people like my father did.

However, my father would often have a running reel of what he liked to call his best ripoff's. He would boast about how low he could go on an offer and get some unsuspecting noob to take it and think he was doing them a favor.

I wonder what karma has in store for him??

(edited as per request. Sorry if my response came off a  little snappy.)

Welcome to the Acaeum,

I'm interested in the rpg business, but much less so in personal matters.  It would be fine with me if you choose to edit the last post.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

I will edit my post as soon as all negative posts about "me" which were really about my father are taken down. Turnabout is fair play.

Playing Devils Advocate for a second (and off the current vein a bit), I've purchased items from T&T a few times and have never had any issue.  I didn't buy anything too valuable or collectable, mainly MSH or Top Secret stuff, and a few 3.5 and 4th ed cheapies (less than a $1 each).  I once received a SW item that was slightly melted to the cover of the book and they replaced it without a fight.

I'm not saying that I support them (I wouldn't consider buying any old school stuff from them without seeing multiple pictures) but what I have bought has been okay.

... but I have been warned, so thank you all.
