This is more like seeing one item that you want in a lot, and having to pay for all the pieces you don't want, and thus absorb their cost.  Sometimes the extra pieces can be sold/traded to recoup their cost, sometimes not.

That being said, I'm probably in for this, and I don't have a problem with the cross promotion per se... although as a limited edition I'm not sure how much cross promotion is actually generated.  And they're doing the right thing buy allowing the core audience to reserve a copy.

I'm really not even saying that another option should be available.  But, for those of us who simply do not use/collect/care about minis, that's the extra stuff in the lot, and it is a $30 module.

I'm in.  I, also, do not collect minis but can get over it, this one time.

but reading that, I would assume that this is the first of three collaborations from the two companies.

I wanted to just chime in one more time about this topic.
There is no "we" as far as sales and distribution are concerned. Pacesetter produced the module at the request of Center Stage. Pacesetter receives no financial gain from the actual module sales. In fact, all 100 copies will be sent off to CSM when they come from the printer in the next few days.

I decided to get involved because I wanted to do something to promote the OSR. Sure, I may get more exposure to another part of the gaming market, but that is about it. That is the idea.

I was also intrigued about the combo thing as it has not really been done before - two separate companies.

In no way was this an effort to create any issues and that is why the module is not part of Pacesetter's CLP.

What I can say is that there will be a compilation of some sort when the series is complete. I have not decided what this will look like, but it will be sold directly by Pacesetter, as I retain all copyrights. But there will not be a direct reprint of each module.

This is not necessarily a new thing. TM1 will never see a reprint, but it will be revised at some point with altered content and new cover art. It will be around 40 pages instead of the 64 pages in the original print.

To my amazement, this product isn't even available yet and over 1/3 are already reserved - in less than 24 hours!

I'm out until the 28th, so by the time I get home, I am hoping the mods are in stock. Once I have them, I'll start sending out invoices. US shipping will be fairly straightforward, and I'm still looking into avenues to make international shipping of minis and module as cost-effective as possible.

There is a very slim chance I'll be at NTRPGCon this year, and if so, I'll have about a dozen on hand there, as well.

This is a very exciting project, and I am pleased to have the support of so many terrific people.
