Hi,

hmm.

Having seen Hollywood alter actual HISTORY on many occassions so it makes a better story, altering a legend.... well   :puker:

Cheers,
malc

I have a plan so cunning, you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

Perhaps I should restate... The Legend I subscribe to is the one detailed by Steinbeck and the Movie Excalibur...

These are themselves only derivative works.  Steinbeck's interpretation was from the 60s or 70s maybe and Excalibur 1980ish.  Perhaps they are closer to the source material, but just because they are the legend you subscribe to hardly makes them definitive.

Yes I understand.  That is the nature of "Legend" it has mutated over the years.  But what the bottom line is... I do not like the current effort of Camelot on Starz... Because I like the story a certain way... Arthur Pulls Sword, Sword is Excalibur, He is the True King because of Blood and Excalibur, Merlin although a manipulator is essentially "good" ands guides the King, Arthur weds Guenivere, She Sleeps with Lancelot, He throws the Sword into the Lake, The Lady in the Lake Gives it back to him as true King, Then he discovers the Holy Hand Grenade.....  8O

Thats the one I like... I think the current attempt by Starz BLOWS.... Maybe I shoulda just said... I don't Like It... Except for Morgan

I remembered the "roman" one I was referring to:

The Last Legion

I also liked that "version" of Camelot/King Arthur
