No question - Ironhoof Highlands!

Conan battles Alien on the cover. Space Invaders etched on a monolith. Major city of 100,000 with a map very similar to Keep on the Borderlands. Yah - it's wierd.

Almost unbelievably bad. :shaking2:

Also on the wierd scale is the unexpurgated version of Carcosa.

Carcosa is not intended to be taken seriously, and there is an expurgated version that deletes the most outlandish material. Still...pretty wierd. Just...you know...wierd. :scratch:

Ironhoof Highlands has a cover in a wierd class all its own.

The Space Invaders did it for me...

Not that TSR didn't go in for some "interesting" choices of cover art themselves *cough* Eldritch Wizardry *cough*.
David Fitzgerald's D&D Supplement E'A (1979) goes one step further on the "symbolism" quotient, perhaps. Or maybe I'm reading too much into that. :oops:

Inside is fun, too; Dragon-Elephants attacking with flying headbutts, Duncans (no, I'm not even going into that), etc. (save or die seems to be rather popular for "attacks"), and a gonzo wine & drinks list including Amazon Milk ("30gp. But of course, it's free to whoever can wrestle it from the Amazon!"). Oookkkkayy... :lol:

Not to say there ain't good stuff, too. Like a new Comeliness stat long before Unearthed Arcana made that unfashionable.
Well... some good stuff/good ideas and generally well intentioned, IMO.

Oh; and you can get "quality reproductions" of the interior artwork at $2 each. Best not go there, either.

Never read them. I bought some Group One modules only because of their weird cover. I really like these covers.

Was only aware of Ironhoof before, maybe I'll have to look for the Traveller ones. Are they especially hard to find?

Some are very hard to find (some easier), some have more than 1 print, and in general they sell for a good price (similar to Ironhoof - $20-$25 is a fairly good price but some of the more rare ones tend to go up to $100).

Agree. Some sells for very good prices. Currently, prices seem to be low for Group One items though.
