posties are funny arent they? they have serious literate problems. i had this problem some time ago (few years). don't have that problem anymore.

last time our local guy did this, i was sat 10 feet from the door eating breakfast. he totally folded a module in 2...which resulted in about $75 of damage basically (i did a claim anyway and got it sorted out) - but anyway digressing, i went out the door and flew after the guy who was about 2 doors away then and looked around in shock when i collared him against the wall with said item in hand.

so i asked him "can you read"... he said "yes" so i showed the envelope with the massive "DO NOT BEND" on both sides and said "can you read what THAT says", he said "yes" so i said so "why did you f*cking bend it then, you f*cking moron?" (yes i was VERY pissed off)....he said "er sorry i didnt see it" yeah he really did....so i told him that the next time he "doesnt see the do not bend" on my post, my fist will make multiple appointments with his face and then i will make him eat the item he bent  

needless to say in the three years since, i have never had ONE problem

  For some reason our neighborhood seems to get a new mailman every other week.  Most do the right thing and bring anything too big to fit in my mailbox up to the house and ring the doorbell.  Two weeks ago I heard the mail truck so I looked out the window and saw the mailman bending two large envelopes (not folding thankfully) to get them to fit in my mail box.  I live at the entrance of a "court" so by the time I got shoes on and ran out to the mailbox he was coming around the other side.  I held the packages up and pointed aggressively to the "DO NOT BEND" written in large letters in black ink.  I think the look on my face also conveyed the message because his eyes got really big.  No problems since.

Mine arrived as well in perfect condition.
