Hi,

certainly been an interesting couple of days.

William hague was spitting blood yesterday during his announcement last night I thought, and a number of Conservatives have been (prematurely) slagging the Lib-Dems off today.

From what I understand a Con/lib deal was nearly all sorted out yesterday, until Gordon resigned.

I wish they would get it all sorted out - I have to walk across parliament Green on my way to/from work, and fighting past all the cameras, journalists and mobile studios is getting rather tedious. Tho I did bump into (literally) Paddy Ashdown yesterday.

I saw his quotes from earlier and it comes across as (if I were the Lib leader) saying 'Screw you, you spineless goons!' He did not appear a happy teddy.

As I said earlier, I still think Miliband leading will appeal to Clegg and get things moving. But just my thoughts..

if I HAD to bet on it, I would reckon it will be Con/Lib-Dem.

But things are changing really fast.

Yup, you are right.

The Liberal Democrats have agreed a coalition with the Conservatives.

David Cameron will be the next prime minister of the UK.

The rest of the details will be coming soon. Referendum on new voting system anyone??

Yep, Brown due to resign tonight.

Only saving grace with Camoron in charge is that LibDems can (hopefully) make a difference and the public can see what an arse job they will do when the next general election is called early... :lol:

I suspect the Cons will back out on any referendum on proportional representation and maybe only offer the alternate vote proposal, but I think they'll back everything on the LibDems and show what shysters they are. (IMHO) :wink:

Hmmm, not sure about this. On the one hand I think the Torys will be good at cutting the budget deficit quickly. (It needs to go down pretty quick, from a proj. £170billion in 2010 to ideally half that or even less, and that is a lot of budget (i.e. services) to cut). But cuts do need to be made. On the other hand, cut it too quickly and we risk going back into recession. Hopefully the Lib Dems will moderate the cuts (and we are hearing now that the Tory inheritance tax was negotiated away as part of the coalition deal). Let's see what we have got on voting reform, civil liberties etc... Fingers crossed

Hi,

the tories have been looking for a while to dump the inheritance tax plan - it just isnt feasible, but it was a pledge. Now they have a good excuse.

I'm more worried about the BBC. Given how much Rupert Murdoch has financed Cameron, they will have to provide him with something. Lets hope the BBC can survive - specifically, their website

I'm already reading (via tweets/facebook so question its reliability) that the Cabinet is already filling with old school Cons, (Clarke & Hague) who are as much in touch with reality as Zaphod Beeblebrox, the Cons aren't considering PR vote now for at least 5 years and no doubt all other parts of their discussions with the LibDems will be watered down over the next few months until Clegg realises he has gotten into the sack with the devil...

Anyone see that mini series 'House of Cards'. What was the name of that Prime Minister? (Great, great series but the last movie wimped out, and I always thought they showed him with too much of a conscience when he was such a cool villain).

depends what system, either PC or gaming console?

I'm not a PC gamer, although I've seen a few in the games shops I visit, but couldn't tell how good. I'm guessing you can't go wrong with Baldurs Gate series, particularly the 4 in 1 boxet.

With regards game consoles, I thoroughly enjoyed Elder Scrolls:Oblivion for the PS3, especially the game of the year edition which had the extra expansion sections.

This is quite a good site for reviews if you are ever looking?
