Does it seem like there's an unusual number of old D&D "collections" coming up for auction recently by relatively new sellers? Guess a lot of people are looking through their basements for things to turn into cash. Still, it's better than selling pencils on the sidewalk.

Bad economy I'd say. There are some ridiculous prices being asked too.

I think this might be from the OB3 lot - now everyone thinks that a big lot is worth $2K.

I agree, I think it's a reaction to that particular sale. "Oooo, D&D is worth money if you make a big freakin' pile and put it on Ebay!"

And that can only HELP new collectors. Once the rubes figure out they won't be buying a Cadillac from the auction proceeds......

The only potential issue is that he charged $20 to ship to Canada, and then sent the books (similar to this item) unprotected in a $10 USPS Priority envelope. The first time the envelope was bent and stuffed into my mailbox, but luckily the softbacks inside were not permanently folded or bent. The 2nd time I specifically asked him to use stiff cardboard backing, and he still sent an unprotected USPS envelope. Again though the contents arrived safe in spite of the lack of proper packaging. Since I received the items (fairly quickly) and in the condition they were bought I obviously did not leave him bad feedback. His shipping was high but clearly marked in the auction. I don't think I left him any feedback on account of the careless packaging.

One of my biggest pet-peeves! Flat-rate boxes are FREE from the PO... not sure if Canada has the same thing... I just cut up a flat-rate box for extra boards to ship.

BTW: If any of you ever buy from me you will NEVER have this problem.

Am I the only person who does not use USPS Flat-Rate Boxes in this manner? Using them in a manner other than shipping Flat-Rate packages is illegal.
