I would not bid on that one at all.

I would not go more than $35-45.... for this one.
Look at the box bottom.
A bit Crushed looking to me.
If I have to pay BIG money for a basic in shrink it would have to be near perfect.
And $75 for a basic like that one IS big money IMO.

Well I got it for $53... I just had to have it... and I have a few things to sell to make up for it. Looks to be a 4+ print. I have a VG 4+ print I could sell off to make room for this.

the botton looks warped and creased not crushed... which is almost normal with these chipboard boxes...

Thanks Gus.  At least now I know if I meet one of these in a dark alley I know what I am running away from ....

I do not think $53 was a bad deal.
In fact if I wanted one, I probably would have paid that much too.
$75 would be more than I would have paid though.

Yeah - some good stuff in there, but will surely go to a reseller for (a lot?) less than the BIN. PS boxsets are sellers, as is the North, even some of the 3E stuff is okay, but it's mainly standard fare, if a lot of it! (Anybody want to bet when the  "I'm a gazillion rated...buddy in the States...ignore nasty people... ",question appears? :D

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

He's just going to buy it and have it shipped to his US address contact.  Somebody better warn him quick.  He wakes up in about three or four hours. :?

Wow. Someone made a big score. The Planescape stuff alone will net about $200-250. Maybe more, but prices are weird lately.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I did not want to be right. :?   Anyone warned him to over insure the stuff and take pictures before he shipped? :?:   This could get ugly.

And he sent me a message!

I dunno....$900 for a handful of Planescape items, some 1st and 2nd edition mods and a bunch of 3rd edition splatbooks doesnt seem to me like a very good deal, especially for cougarrinard.  Most of the stuff he sells goes for a few bucks.  I wouldnt think he would be able to make his money back on this.

An honest seller might break even if he's lucky.  However, Cougie can run any number of underhanded scams to get his money back.

For example, the original auction says
Some of the 1e and older items have some water damage and some of them have some coloring in them (what can I say, I was 9 years old).  The 2e boxed sets have some wear and tear to the boxes themselves and I believe some of the posters are missing.

so all of that becomes VGC and caveat emptor.  Throw in some overcharged shipping and some mutually-removed feedback, and he's ahead when each item sells.   eBay makes money from each of his auctions, so it's more than happy to let him do his thing.

Making money is easy when you don't pay for what you get.  All you have to do is say the items were not as described, or didn't arrive.   I hope this seller insures everything.  Poor guy.

I warned the seller. I had emailed the seller yesterday asking for a closer pic of just the first ed stuff.

Nice spots Gord, I am wondering about the rarity of Warriors of Mars again.  This is the 3rd copy in the last couple weeks.

Yes, that is the only other I was watching - thought a good price for the buyer considering that the condition appeared excellent.
