I used to balance big McDonald's breakfasts on my knees and drive like a bat out of hell on some of SoCal's busiest freeways.

Now I'm the get-off-my-lawn guy who wishes Nevada would follow California's lead and ban cell use while driving.

Wait what!? Red Dwarf is still going on?
Is this on PBS in the USA or only UK right now?
Smeg... it's been a while since I've seen some Red Dwarf episodes.

Brand new Red Dwarf (3 parter IIRC but I could be wrong). I've tried to avoid finding out too much so it is a complete surprise to me - though I hear it has some Coronation Street tie in.

On Dave Friday at 9 - happy days.

(If you've never read Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers & Better than Life, I suggest you do so asap)

Was the Red Dwarf RPG any good, for whatever your definition of "good" is?

Never seen one - and to be honest, I'd probably not ever buy one for fear of how bad it might be! (Based on nothinbg at all - it might be the be-all and end-all of all rpg systems)

Oddly enough, the FL(G|C)S has had a copy of the Red Dwarf RPG's screen for ages -- but never the core rules as far as I can remember.

"Reader, Carthegena was of the mind, that unto thoſe Three Things, which the Ancients held Impoſſible, there ſhould be added this Fourth ; To find a Book Printed without Errata's."

Hi,

the RPG is pretty rare - but not valuable. Don't think I've ever had one in stock.

Dave is a satellite channel in the UK. It shows mainly repeats, and caters to "young british mens interests but not porn" which means unlimited repeats of car programmes and some fairly decent comedies.

One of its staples is endless repeats of Dwarf - which are so popular that it has commissioned 3 new episodes, with more to follow if they're a success.

I guess they have to end up in Coronation Street really (a british soap opera), as that is where Craig Charles now works.  :D

Cheers,
Malc

I have it and the series source book.  I remember it being pretty good from when I read it.  I had hoped to get the floor plans of the entire ship in the book, sadly no but they explain how to go about adventures upon the Red Dwarf.  As for playability, never ran a game from it.

possibly a little leftfield, but would anyone happen to know the artist of the red dragon w/Santa on its back, which was in Dungeon #81 as the front cover of a TSR pullout advert. My copy is not to hand as it is with the tattooist who I am using, (although the tattoo is being done without Santa!)
I'd just like to do more research on the  original artist before my next visit to the chair.

(Sorry, never have learned to add pics)

If ever I was going to have another tat I always reckoned I would have this 3E version of Mystra done - just always floated my boat. (Though the pain of having a tattoo done would pale into massive insignificance if I took a D&D book with me to the tattooists and the Mrs found out    )
