If it is copper shouldn't it have tarnished to the green color by now? Or are we to suppose that the seller has been polishing it all this time.

Ironically that used to the common variety; stated as "for public sale" as opposed to the "staff" pewter buckle, but no definitive confirmation provided?
I know I had a good number of them from TSR's unsold stock via Aaron/NKG, anyhow.

Also somewhat optimistic (a bit OT) from their listings;

Just a tad high relative to the more-significant signed "peace offering" of Tackle Model Soldiers This Way (1963) from Featherstone to Scruby that went for under $60 last year. I'd expected that to go higher than Scruby's black box Tractics which was a rather curious link back over to matters closer at hand here.

I thought this was pretty high considering it is incomplete - missing a couple of the maps. Also a bit shady that the seller didn't post his answer for everyone to see in the auction.

Well ... his eBay ID is "Hat Trick" after all, so he sold three items for way more than they were worth ... good feat :bball:

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

The 6th print is actually quite rare, so I'm not too surprised that it went for that much. The condition looks fabulous too.
