Massively water damaged, pen and markered up? I think it went for way too much.

Necromican. ... interestingly this guy has been trying to sell this and a Booty and the Beasts for some time. I think his feedback is making people nervous. But they do look nice  :D

i'd be leery too of a new seller who can't be bothered to take a picture such that the whole product can be seen. his idea of unused and mine may differ substantially.

I don't often see an Auction where the Reserve has not been met but the BIN is still in place. Wouldn't that be a stinker, but I guess if the reserve is not met the current bidders are out of luck anyways.

That's standard Ebay procedure:

If there is no reserve, the BIN goes away after the first bid.
But if there is a reserve, the BIN sticks around until the reserve is met.

I think these were 1st prints.  I was bidding but in the last hour the seller stopped accepting my bid (because of a Canadian address) so I couldn't place a last minute one.  They reinstated my bidding for the other two books but no point in breaking up the set.

The seller could have done much better with the auction in they listed them all together, etc.  $200 for a set of 1st print books even in poor condition is still pretty good.

Only potential problem is shipping, unless you are close to Piscataway, New Jersey.

Initially, this might seem like a fun look-through. But, look over on the right of the pic. Notice something missing?

Why would someone spend time blotting out the info on the header bar of the modules? I can make out the title for Ravager of Time, but what gives?  :?

Great catch!  My guess is that by not describing anything in the lot -- and preventing you from identifying the bulk of it from the picture -- they're hoping to pull in treasure seekers.  Obviously they're unaware that any yellow-headered module is pretty much worthless, especially out of shrink.

Deceptive practices = avoid this seller.

That's the back of the module, where the header is blank. The AD&D logo on the front cover of Ravager Of Time is quite a bit larger.

Still seems deceptive.  Why would you NOT show what is in the lot?  Who sells something like that, unless they are trying to lure people in with the potential for hidden treasure.  I guess it could be laziness or inexperience...
