The first edition of Clanbook: Tremere for Vampire -- which, given the subject matter (wizards seeking eternal life who dabbled in things man is not meant to know and thereby turned themselves into vampires), isn't entirely a surprise.

Why do people buy gold when the economy gets bad? If an economy becomes so bad that the currency is worthless, wouldn't gas, guns, food, livestock, generators, and medicine be far more practical than precious metals? And if the economy doesn't get that bad, then what is the point of buying the gold?

OK, what possesses a seller to put a book (a Volo's Guide) between two pieces of cardboard and then put tape on all four edges? It's one of those things that even I wouldn't do, no matter how tired I am.

Of course, the spine of the book stuck to the tape because it is a nice flat surface perfect for tape adhesion. Grrr. And sigh.

He did say "cut", so that means 30 million people need to go...somewhere. The US could take them, less culture shock than going to Borneo or Mongolia. Can we fit 10 mill in the panhandle? Maybe in the wastes of Montana???? Man, sometimes those Greenies crack me up.

Wastes of Montana? Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota are the wastelands. Montana has mountains, plains, rivers, lakes, etc.

South Dakota has the Badlands. North Dakota is . . . North Dakota. Wyoming is mostly flat and has oil wells. Here's an example of Wyoming's "beautiful" scenery:
