This seller has some nice stuff and clearly is taking the time to put comprehensive descriptions and decent photos (usually multiples) of his stock, then does this...

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

What's he thinking? Why not do *ALL* the research if you're going to put that much effort in the description - it would take him an extra 60 seconds to search through sold auctions to gauge the ranges...

If I recall, they had two of each.  They sold one set, but I don't think the other two ever sold.  I think I saved off the auctions.  Will check to see if I still have them.

If that's correct, then these would be the remaining two.  One could always inquire.

That Rahasia has some interesting additions that I don't recall being included before.

This is the third set they have claimed as the last!

If you know for sure, then that is deceptive.

I remember there was some controversy surrounding the second set being claimed as the last, like the first set.

Edit: Found the original thread on this topic:

... and Deadlord's last post in the old thread nails it.  A regular prognosticator.

While this dragon mag sale is not ridiculously high. It still seems just much too much for a later copy of a glossy modern magazine. With shipping just south of 10$. Who would pay that much?  A year or two ago at half price books found 50 copy of dragon magazine 70-120 for 0.99 cents each. Got me all very nice shape. I have a hard time paying too much for dragons and dungeons after such a reasonable find at the book store. Thou for e last year half price books has had just silly prices on their D&D books

You have to remember cover price on later issues of Dragon magazine were $6-$7. Plus, issues of magazines at HPB are rarely in decent shape due to how they are handled there, and I've seen older Dragon mags at local HPB priced in the $10 range for beat to hell copies.  I don't think five bucks is too out of line...

Those are good points. I'm biased against later dragon magazines so I always think they should be really cheap. Just don't like or collect them. Sorta like I don't like or collect dragon lance items.

Am I missing something?  There is also a 'sealed' S1-4 for only 250$

Peter,

It appears that they are all in shrink.  Still think the BIN is a little optimistic but not by a whole lot.

Agreed. He should have a Make Offer button on that auction; but I run my BINs a little on the high side too and get people all the time just clicking BIN and not worrying about it. I'd take the first $850 offer that came along, but he's not ridiculously out of line.

I'd be reeeeeeeal careful about 'original shrink' vs aftermarket shrink. They're all very prolly original shrink, but the seller doesn't warrant that explicitly. :/
