You should also ask about completeness in cases where items have maps or counters etc.  I'm not a fan of the handling fee per auction either.  What you see is what you get so its always good to ask questions.

Interestingly, that lot includes the full block of articles by Paul Vernon (published Starstone right after them).

I happen to be reading them right now (highlights of my recent WD purchase) - excellent stuff.

Please post which seller is charging a "handling fee" so all of us can know to avoid them.

Just purchased four items from this seller. He's got great stuff, but I forgot to ask about sticker tears and small spine splits. I remembered to ask about everything else (staple rust, dog-ears, stains, water damage, hole punches, etc. etc.).
The highest priced item of the four was vg, but his rating: exc/nm (the one including the sticker tear on back and small spine split)!

I'd let him know. I'd guess offhand that it could be something he missed. I've bought some stuff from him in the past and he was very professional to work with.

($226) That was indeed some rather slinky photo trimming going on there...

Not a specific seller at the moment, just general frustration.  I don't like additional fees added on to anything.

I have, requesting a 10% refund for an exc/nm-rated item. No response after several days now.
Anyway, you're right. He's very professional otherwise: great communicator, quick deliverer, good packager, etc. The sad part is that even if this is a one-off oversight, it's only my second purchase from him, and I don't want the same thing to occur again (my margin for error may admittedly be painfully narrow).
<confused and mildly disappointed>

You're right, and I know the feeling. I hope it works out.

Alright you shrink-lovers, here's another Silver Anniversary set for your collecting pleasure...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

No sticker visible on the photo, so I'm guessing it's not the rare one with the signed Easley print

Dragons 1-150 (no #4)

I think that the price is probably about double what I'd pay

If you'd pay half that, I might have a set for you.

Same seller with a staple-back silver Chainmail, though not perfect:
