it's missing two pages. the only thing that could make it worth even less would be to laminate it....

I've never before seen a first printing Chainmail in a standard, no-reserve auction.
Or maybe this is the first time I've seen the price while it's been hovering in the affordable range before it eventually shoots up and gets too depressing to pay any attention it it.

Well, posting about it on the acaeum was a bad idea then.

Don't worry, the auction hounds had probably already sniffed it out.

If you want to play auctions then bid early and often, but if you want to get something at the lowest possible price, bid once, bid your max, and bid as close to the auction end (snipe) as possible.
