Apparently Aneoth enlarged the screenshot of the magazine and read the front page.  There is a section that mentions "faggot-collecting" in Bohemia.  I can only assume he isnt familiar with the definition of the word "faggot" in the U.K. and is only thinking of the derogatory definition we use in the U.S.

Or he is just trying to be funny.

I knew both of those definitions.
Just pointing it out is all.

Even so, neither one makes much sense in the textual context of that picture. :?

I believe the UK author knew all the relevant definitions as well, as there's a double-double entende going on here. It has to do with why a band named "Queen" would write a song entitled "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Here's one of those Mattel TSR D&D posters. I think someone was asking about one of these several months ago. While they go for the $30-$40 range in nice condition, this one only looks in ok condition

I wonder about the fate of the original art. Both pieces were made by large commercial firms, without being the labor of love. The Mattel painting looks like it may have been a composite of god-knows-what media to achieve the high color contrast, like the kind of stuff that flakes off or shrivels up after a few months.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It seems like often enough these licensees would use some artist of an ad agency associated with them to put together the art on their product instead of working out something with the original artists. I wonder why that is? I've seen that happen in the packaging for some movie related tie-ins on animated films for dvds (and vhs/laserdisc beforehand).

Just purchased four items from this seller. He's got great stuff, but I forgot to ask about sticker tears and small spine splits. I remembered to ask about everything else (staple rust, dog-ears, stains, water damage, hole punches, etc. etc.).

The highest priced item of the four was vg, but his rating: exc/nm (the one including the sticker tear on back and small spine split)!
