I agree, that price seems a stretch to me too.

At least for that one anyway.

Its not in very good condition and not in the Shrink.

The Acaeum listing shows one having sold for $231, one at $181, and another for $138.... so its not in the realm of rediculous.

wow, not sure about the market being down...this is appears to be a nice OCE set, but it went higher than I have seen recently...am I missing something here ?

Either a shill or a few bidders got caught up in the "about me" BS he posted in the auction description.

He listed that set in NM and the condition of the box precludes it from qualifying as that, no matter how many horse crap Overstreet grades he uses for the books to try to spin it.

That set is only slightly nicer than the one I currently have up(his box is a bit nicer, but the books and reference sheets are effectively the same) and there is no way I would have had the fortitude to list mine in NM condition.

I looked at the pictures again and I think you might be right. besides I'm sure someone is just waiting to drop a $100. bid in the last minute if no one else bids on this thing.

I guess if no one does though, he will have to take his ball and go home since he's not going to relist it.
