I don't know. I think the price actually prett close. Right now it runs just above $10 per item. Considering the condition. Not bad

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

....I know it's 3.5e...

but it does have a Dungeon Master Guide for Dummies :wink:

This listing has been on E-Bay at least two other times.

We counted the DF box sets (Something like 31 DF boxes in all) and they alone seemed to be worth the price wanted the first time.

With more than THREE dozen plastic containers/boxes of Minis as well, this listing was well worth the price listed the first go around.

I think the price is lower now.

And you can also make an offer.

Someone with deep pockets could get this lot and not need anything else but a HUGE room to set all that DF and minis up in, or perhaps re-sell most or all of it in smaller listings for a nice profit, unlike the other high dollar listing mentioned a lot lately.

The price came down from I think $4500. Not sure if the Best Offer was available earlier either. IIRC, it was roughly determined that the price is not too bad, especially with all the Dwarven Forge stuff, for a reseller. The fact that the lot is only available for local pickup probably preventing this lot from selling as much as anything.

I have been chasing this boxed set for years and never paid too much attention to contents. But last one I saw had the book also.

I'd hate to see what it would actually cost to ship it. Uhaul rates are probably better (depending on where it's located...drive/fly in, pick up rental, pick up the merchandise and drive it home).

Yes it comes with a book of lairs. The one thing that is often missing from these sets is the "Free Dragon Dice Red Dragon Champion Die". It comes in the original packaging with the polyhedral dice but since it looks fancy (a big 6 sider) it goes missing from the box.

This auction does look like it is missing too.

I don't think I ever even opened mine. The Starter Book of Lairs is not the same as the OTHER Book of Lairs, is it?

They are nearly identical. The major difference is that the Complete Starter Set Book of Lairs has a product ID on the back cover (1167XXX1904) that matches up to the Complete Starter Set (1167) vs. the retail Forgotten Realms Book of Lairs (9465). I don't have it in front of me, but I want to say that the 9465 product number is on the front cover of the Complete Starter Set version.

No, the Book of Lairs in the Starter Kit doesn't seem to have any 9465 markings - no number on cover, the back has the Starter Kit number and inside has the Starter Kit number.

I don't have 9465 handy so I can't compare the contents.

An R1 and R4 on Ebay just went for $340 and $350 respectively. These are way over our current site valuations. Are we out of date now? Is $350 an average price for R series in VF condition?
