LOL. Actually I have no problem with Panetta framing it that way, because frankly I WANT my government to at least have the option to apply "extreme measures" rather than hamstringing things with some BS "rules" that are meaningless in the theater of war. We can roll our eyes at the idea of some kind of crazy "24" scenario that entails having to torture someone to find a nuke, but cmon 10 years ago the thought of muslim terrorists commandering commercial airliners to crash into the Twin Towers, Pentagon and White House would have seemed like the plot of a Michael Crichton novel.

I just think it's funny the level of hypocrisy that arises from condeming one administration for something another is embracing under the cover or "Well, WE'RE not like the other guys, WE"LL only use it when necessary." Riiiiiiight

Nice.

But wasn't there some other guy buying up every white box in sight to try and drive the price up. A few years ago, I think.

Or was that David aka Harami and I never put that together....

Aneoth bought about 15 white boxes about five years ago......

That name is vaguely familiar, but I think he was before my time here. :)

Looking back on the thread, it was around March 2004. You would have loved that guy, Brian. 8O

Damn it, I just missed my five year Acaeum anniversary. I was going to post something epic. Oh well.

(although I was visiting for some time before I realized there was a forum, here.  I even posted my copies of Inverness, et al.)

Attention, British Telecom business customers.  Your "Business Hubs" are now BT hotspots.  I am sure that you do not mind sharing your business bandwidth with my pr0n surfing.   :D

At one time I had something like 14-16 white box sets.

Mike MIGHT still have some of them from his purchase of my collection.

It is snowing in Macon, GA, an hour south of Atlanta.  STAY AWAY!  People do NOT know how to drive around here in snow. :?

Snow in Georgia?  Freezing temperatures hit North Texas last night, possibly tonight as well.  I thought spring was coming . . .

In Atlantic Canada we are expecting from 15 to 25 cm of snow in the next 24 hours followed by freezing rain and then rain.
It is -10 and snowing right now. It does not sound like Monday will be very much fun.
Last Monday was bad enough that even the city bus system was shut down and snow plows were sliding off the roads.  8O

Thank God they closed the public schools.  The School Board just saved the lives of at least fifty children.  Unfortunately, there will be dozens of young men killed tonight right after they say, "Watch this!" :?

If I was an alcoholic I think I might off myself before resorting to this:

I can't imagine needing a drink so bad that someone would resort to that.  8O
