Thanks for the info on this thread!
There's a shrink copy of Circus Maximus board game up for grabs on eBay with about 5 hours to go.

It is rare - much more common (relatively!) is the red version.  Still, seems high...

Considering this is the only copy that has ever popped up for sale on eBay to my recollection, I would say probably for the completist...

It would be nice if it was auctioned off so we could get an actual demand-based price for valuation purposes.  Matter of fact it would be nice for all of the items that he has currently up to auctioned off for that purpose.  I'd bid on a few myself if they were priced more reasonably.

Agree absolutely. At the moment these are curiosities for me.  But run it as an auction and I can get (all too easily!) drawn in to an auction - and even end up bidding what the BIN is :).  That is certainly the only copy on ebay I have seen - but I have no idea what it would go for.  Would be interesting to find out.

It might be the scan, but the cardstock cover on his Dragonlord doesn't look right. It should be grayer, and quite thick.
Wasn't Crimson a member here?

Probably the scan. Another example is in this thread ...

I haven't seen a case/carrier like this before, and didn't even know it existed.

Ten bucks says the "carrier" is actually from an SPI game.  I don't believe War of Wizards was ever packaged like that.

That case is definitely from an SPI game.

The character record cover looks like the 1979 version (wizard logo is showing). I think that Hex Pad is similar to this one that sold on Ebay back in Nov (though it was in shrink)

btw, he also had this for sale  :)  Maybe I'll use one of the photos as an update for my avatar

"shouldn't it be "flame retardant" and not "flame retarded"?"

Too many vulgar answers to this one and Pipswich would hate every single one of them!

Do you really want to know? Something treated with a flame retardant becomes flame retarded. I guess the latter term passed out of acceptable marketing use when the phrase "mentally retarded" was popularized.

At $49, it is probably price retarded.
