Maybe if he talked up the bugbear sticker it would be worth the BIN.

Definately. I sold a NM copy about two years ago for $13. And that was a hard sell. Less than half the current valuation.

Now, I realise that these are going to get more and more rare as they get used over time, but I didn't think critical mass had happened just yet. And it's not over. ($36.27 as of this post)

LOL, I hope you packed a travel-sized can of Vaseline in with it. That's awesome, Blackmoor. I think it's time to sell mine..............

Maybe because it's the FINEST COPY ON EBAY?

Looks like two relative newbies who really wanted to find a nice copy.  And it is nice.  But $150 seems a pretty high price to pay for nice.

I guess the pricing is a little out of date on the 10th anniversary sets

That's a lot of money for a piece of yellow paper.

That seller clearly had a store or bought out overstock, as he has been slowly selling those sets for a few years.

No he hasn't, the last significant supply of 10th ann combo packs on ebay was by coolstuff a few years ago, only dribs and drabs since.  Gencon had a bunch at last years auction. These are truley rare items for the most part.  :)

Rare sure, but those ending prices were a bit ... over the top.  They even blew out the regular shrink buyer we all know and love and he usually goes big.  There was a noteable missing party in the bidding, but the $500+ ends on some of the 2 packs were LOL.

Would've been interesting to see what the end prices might've been if the bids had been sniped rather than escalated. I don't seem to be getting that message through, unfortunately. ;)

I agree, the two packs were overbid by like double!!

Yes, he has.  I should have said "occasionally" instead of "slowly", but he has had stacks before:  eBay Feedback Profile for tomspuzzle  (Ctrl-F for TSR).

No argument that they're rare, but it's still a lot of money for (effectively) a small yellow piece of paper and some shrinkwrap.

Which costs more per gram nowadays? :)

Wow, the seller has got to be ecstatic.  That's a nice little bit of income for a bunch of things he had sitting in a box.

I've got three of the combo sets, and I'm now real glad I decided that was all I needed.
