Too high.  Will scare off most potential bidders.  Might get lucky though.

The Encyclopedia Magica was a Four book set that lists details of every magical item that various TSR publications has listed over the years.

Most collectors I know have had at least one set at one time or another.

I remember when they could be had for around $20 for the set of four.

I do not own a set now, but if I saw a listing with real nice copies for a low price I would probably go ahead and bite that bullet again.

I would like to read them again.

There was another three book set for Priests as well.

The Trail Maps are a series of Four HUGE Maps (TM1-TM4) showing the world of the Forgotten Realms setting.

They were folded much like you would see a city/street map folded these days.

Stored in a handy folder.

The two more common maps (City of Waterdeep and Kara Tur) sell for around $15-$20 pretty often.

(I just sold a City Map with a BIN for $14.95)

The Eastern and Western Counties Maps tend to sell for more individually.

A couple additions/corrections:

Encyclopedia Magica - 4 books listing all the magic items
Wizard's Spell Compendium - 4 books listing all the wizard spells
Priest's Spell Compendium - 4 books listing all the priest spells

These are second edition products, but list everything from O, BECMI, 1e, and 2e era (up to the time of publication, of course).

The Trail Map (TM) series:

TM1 and TM2 are the Western and Eastern Countries of Mystara, not the Forgotten Realms
TM3 is Krynn
TM4 is Waterdeep
TM5 is Kara-Tur

http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/miscpages/tm.html

I think these are actually pretty cool, though they sometimes sell for more than I think they're worth.

So was my post, 3 Priest books...
Though you were correct in that there are also the Mages Spell books that I did not list.
And I missed some points on the Trail Maps.
Thank you for the corrections.

I bought these (Wizard Spell Compendium set) when they first came out because I have spells published in them :-)
(The magic user spells attributed to "Serrel", originally appearing in Polyhedron #63)

I was 1st runner-up, but no, not me.. I almost bid $20 higher, but who knows if that would've cinched it.

That's one of those bids where you almost wish it to be over so you don't get tempted. I was watching it, but removed it...too much temptation! Anyway, it was out of reach for me too, but a great catch for whoever won. These things are getting scarcer everyday.

Hector.

Of course, I ruled myself out of bidding from the start.  $311 is a lot for some signatures.

Still...pretty cool.  8)

Looks like they have adjusted their listings. I'm guessing it was probably some members here who helped them out.

I sent a polite note pointing the seller here; I'm sure I wasn't the only one.
