The cynical side of me is thinking that somebody will grab that box for under $200 toss in the books from a white box and flog it on eBay for $1000+.

Everybody will end up being suspicious of any brown box sets being sold for the next year or so from new or unknown sellers.

Sadly your cynicism is likely well founded, gotta think someone either wants a box REALLY bad or sees a perfect opportunity to screw a collector...I'd love to know what happended to the original LBBs from that box.  Carelessly discarded?  Used to the point of disintegration?  Bet there is a Tale to be told.

That's interesting.  When I list an item, the item gets posted in general circulation first and then a minute later it shows up on my for sale page.  The buying/selling totals only just seem to be the totals listed in myEbay.  I have never had a problem with them being inaccurate.  If you want to remove items from the total that have been sold/sent/received/feedback left, you do need to do that yourself (I'm not sure how long they hang around for).
