If the Colts lose I will personally kick that pretty-boy's ass (Manning).

The maps look gorgeous.

Colts are favored Martin  I looked over the schedule though and the games they played this year weren't against what you could call offensive powerhouses... Patriots were a good offensive team and Arizona also but at the time those two met Arizona was in a lull. After those two there's a steep dropoff. Neither team they faced in the playoffs had much firepower either... I'll be in Vegas tomorrow evening to place my wager 8)

Note: I keep seeing this type of statement in various collections where the owner of an artwork says some BS along the lines of: This piece by "so and so" was an unused cover for "various cover goes here". What they really should say is that the piece wasn't up to snuff or it was rejected due to lack of quality or whatever... it just sucked is truer than bullshitting about it going unused.

The End.

If you look at the Saints you will see that they played not one decent team the whole year and were beaten by 3 horrible teams (going from memory here).  Okay maybe horrible is too much for the Cowboys.  Hard for me to get concerned when the Saints beat Washinton, St. Louis, and Atlanta by field goals.  Saints have to play a perfect game to beat the Colts and the Colts do not have to play a perfect game to beat the Saints.

It will be a good game.  But Peyton will win it in the 4th quarter if he hasn't already won the game in the first three.

That assumes Peyton will still be around in the 4th quarter.

With Saints players delivering extra hits and diving into his legs, Manning might have a difficult time staying upright for the entire game.

The Saints have already shown that they are not above cheap shots on an iconic quarterback.  Maybe the refs will do a better job of protecting Manning than they did with Favre.

The "iconic" QB's that played back in the day took all sorts of hits. They get treated like little ballerinas these days (which leads to inflated stats). I see more of the "great" retired QB's say that current QB's are treated with kid gloves (nowdays) more than anyone... The hit that knocked Brady out last year was just fluky. The NFL is frightened that the product will be weakened when the star QB's get knocked out. Of course we never hear of Tom Brady and Kurt Warner without injuries... I think it would help to give more defensive players star power and keep the defensive game relevant so we don't wind up watching arena football games every week.

In the case of the Saints, we aren't talking about classic football play.

We're talking about a team policy of late hits and penalties the refs should have been faster to call.

They're just copying the classic "great" defensive formula
I'm sure Martin will write all about it in 9 days time :D

Watched a program on ESPN last night, they had the defensive coordinator for the Saints on and he said that they are going after Peyton.  They will take every oppurtunity to knock him out.  He was very explicid that they were going to "try to cut the head off the beast."  The Colts defensive line is used to this.  I believe they can handle the Saints pass rush.  The Ravens have one of the best pass rushes in football and the d-line handled them easily.  Also, Peyton falls to the ground in the fetile position if anyone gets close!

Just curious, what are the dimensions on the Blizzard Pass painting?

And why isn't it framed?!?!?! :)

I always liked the covers that had that "Heavy Metal" feel. That look sorta got lost after the early 80's until Brom came along.

Nice buy! I always liked this particular Truman piece.
Really digged the Module too, its my favourite Solo mod,
Jim Holloway's interior art is particularly good.

Is it just me or does the leading Goblin's sword look like its
been filled in by the magic-pen, its exactly the same colour!
(I always thought that)

Maybe I can find an answer on this thread for a piece of TSR artwork I'm looking for. Does anyone know the name and if original/prints are available for this work by Keith Parkinson? The only place I've seen it used is on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Character Sheets REF2.

This is the cover for Star Frontiers Alpha Dawn boxed set...
