just out of curiousity. if i brought a First Quest LP with me, do you think there would be any interest for it at GenCon?

No, I understood what you meant Al. I was just wondering what you fellows said to my ol' chum Tonya. Did you get her to cry?

nah we were just making out how shite the stall was and how ridiculous she looked with that silly hat she and the staff were wearing.

you could tell the books were crap when you buy one and get 4 free or whatever it was...something ludicrous like that.

i was even half tempted to buy one and at the till enquire whether she was going to add a handling fee :)

Now there are a few good 3E products, but her booth didn't have any. if I recall correctly you bought one and got three free and I couldn't even find ONE item I wanted much less the other three I had to take.

Hey now, no ill talk about the woman I love.  Meeting tonya was one of the best times at Gencon for me.  It isn't often you meet the only seller on ebay who has banned you.  If only she was wearing the chain mail bikini.

The experience of the t-shirt girl and Badmike and Al will always be a favorite of mine.  That girl had my Texas friend and my english friend eating out of her cleavage.

I was sitting next to Al and John when Al pulled John's hand down during the tegel auction.  Very funny.

But I do not understand why none of my friends list me buying a print that cost $30 on the exhibit floor for $250 in the auction house.  Biggest bonehead play of Gencon 2007.

sorry man, but mikes sorry-ass display of not even being able to beat a giant shrew, will always top your quality-display of bidding :)

Well Hell Al that goes without saying.  The tegel shrew incident is now Acauem Legend.  Just danm proud to have a hand in it.  Well, actually, it was my character's face plastered in Badmike's ass.  You know, on second thought that is something I need to forget.

Well thats good to know the main show is at least around till 2010 and this bankruptcy won't do anything to effect that.

Why would they need to build that when they are building the JW Marriott?

Over 1500 additional rooms for Gen Con.  8O

We have more conferences than just the Gen Con conference.  They are planning 5 more hotels for down town right now.  Three will probably be built.  They are doubling the conference center so that they can go after bigger conferences.  So they think they need more hotel rooms.  We'll see how it all shakes out.

Well hell, even if it doesn't, at least GenCon goers will have more options of being closer, if not better chance at deals...unless the hotels are required to stick to some pricing guidelines?

Indy is also in the bid for the 2012 Super Bowl. All the extra hotel rooms make Indy a more viable candidate.

Devon and I are currently working on the new Colts stadium. Hopefully when it's done we can roll over to the Convention Center expansion.
