If I had seen it sooner I would have jumped all over that one too.
NICE catch.

Seller screwed himself big time with that BIN.

No, I didn't buy it.  I spent all of my disposable cash at Gencon.   :x  Plus, I already have one so I was hoping someone from the Acaeum who really wanted it would get it!!

I did get some great buys at Gencon, I will post some pics later today.

soon after you posted that on your blog, I went over to NK and noticed they jacked up the price. :(
I just figured someone at NK follows your blog and looked to capitalize on it  :)

He probably has that set automatically to increase the price when the inventory gets low.

I noticed that later in the day. It was still $9.95 with 8 (of 11 originally) remaining, but later in the day it was down to 3 copies and the price was $17.95. I updated my blog with a warning. Later it was down to one copy, and the price was still the same, but then later that sole remaining copy was jacked up to $29.95. I took the link out at that point. I noticed that Maze of Peril was in their list of most popular items at the time.

One commentor indicated they ordered it direct from the publisher a few months ago, so it's available for much cheaper ($6.95 + $1.50 shipping) if you are willing to send in check/m.o. The link to the publisher's page is still in my post.

That was my guess as well; I've noticed it with other products. However, it doesn't happen immediately since the single remaining copy was $17.95 for a while before going up to $29.95.

"Hunter of Auctions" came up with this interesting OD&D lot...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Is that a photocopy of the Greyhawk and Underworld booklets or are they just missing the covers?

They look washed out a bit like old, old photocopies did, so I'm guessing that. There is also the black area by the spine, which looks similar to what I recall seeing from old copiers where a book was pressed against the glass, but not fully to the inside edge.

Don't see what is so interesting about copied reference sheets from B2 and C2 myself.

And besides... it all looks  :pukel:  to me.

Almost like they were used for napkins or to place drinks on... :)

The last remaining copy of Maze of Peril at NK is now back to $9.95.
