Well... I guess I'm some kind of tire-kicking idiot, because I don't like to overpay for anything, I'm forever looking for the best deal... but if I had money to spend on this, I'd still want it. If there was a BIN on it for $50 it would probably be worth it to quite a few people....but $173.24? There's the difference.

Yup PotVQ PLUS a complete and nice looking Dungeon Geomorphs 2

This seller has about half a dozen of the TSR 10th Anniversary Adventure Packs all sealed and all starting at $49.95

Same seller has GOBS of listings for SEALED Grenadier and other Miniatures Box Sets.

In fact this seller has GOBS of nice stuff.

Some of it with high starting prices, but I think not rediculous.

Most of them are not "sealed". The wrap is split across the top or the bottom. Read the descriptions carefully before you bid!

This stuff was $120-$150 only a week ago from this same seller

I think now it is down to a reasonable level, even with the wrap issue.

I'd say they are towards the higher end of the spectrum, but not unreasonable. That looks like a pretty decent Jade Hare. The Holloway art might be considered high by some, but it's hard to say what it's worth. I believe it is from The Complete Ninja's Handbook. They are certainly not priced for the bargain hunter though!

Depends... according to the rarities page on here ( http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/rares.html ) the coverless Jade Hare sells in fine condition for the asking bid. There's not many of these out there so thats probably a fairly good price for it especially with the economy the way it is.

As for the original art...who can tell... you're talking about the ONLY piece of its kind that is available. I am not a big ninja D&D guy, but there are probably those out there that are (especially with OA/L5R/etc). $243USD starting bid for it...could be high.....or it might not be. Just depends on what your tastes are.

yeah, I think he's in the right area for the Jade Hare.

As for the original Jim Holloway art, I think he's "spot on" as the Brit's say

He had some other original Holloway art he sold recently. Take a look at the prices,

300 GBP/$486 US for an illustration from R2, and the same for one from R1.

then 350GBP/$567 for one from I2!

granted, some of these are much older (by 10yrs?), and the prices reflect it!

I can't recall immediately what they sold for when they were on ebay a couple years back, but I'd guess it's about the same/slightly higher. A lot of this original art has been increasing in value for the most part. however, with the economy, there's always ups and downs.

edit: those three pieces all sold in the $300 range (US dollars) a couple years ago...so they definitely went up in value

Speaking of original art, fellow acaeum member Tharizdun has some original Clyde Caldwell Gazetteer, Dark Sun and Ravenloft pieces up. As well as some shrinkwrapped Planescape sets/modules.

btw, I don't think I've seen that Planescape promo box before on ebay.
