Jings!

(Though to be fair, seller is in Gerrards Cross so living is expensive - according to the following articles in the top 10 areas for house prices in the UK, with an average of over £700000 in October 2008 (so about £7.85 now!!)

http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/lo ... expensive/

only 9.5 miles away from me according to theaa.com - does this make me rich by association (and if so, can someone lend me some money :D )

don't know about the rest of you, but I am constantly questioning myself about over/under paying (mainly over :) ) for items, just wanted your thoughts on this item that I paid $100. I guess it depends on how good/bad the condition is of the module...

Wow, granted the condition of it doesn't look to be optimal based on the picture, unless someone shat inside of it, that seems to be a pretty nice buy to me.

I'll give you $105 for it - see there's 5 easy bucks right there! :D

(I think you did okay - R series never seem to go for less than $100 atm, whatever the condition)

Apologies if this has already been mentioned.  I meant to put it up a couple of days ago.

Damn, and that puts me at 3000 posts.  I kinda liked being a "Sage Collector"; "Long-winded" just doesn't sound as nice.

Anyway, I didn't realize this was worth so much:

That price most likely has to do with it being the "Trilogy" edition which contains the Sauron and Gondor games as well as the original game.  And the counters are unpunched and the cards unseparated which itself is a minor miracle.

Hmmmm.

Okay, I'm no expert here by any means. But I think there are some issues with this listing. First, the box looks clearly like OCE in the closeup. Second, he says it's 1st edition. Then he goes on to copy/paste the exact same text that was written by ophidios for the 5th edition box I won from him last week...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

...sloppily editing out things like "1st Edition, 5th printing copy" and adding in his listing for the famous "BONUS_ Book 7-Greyhawk supplement  1 (9th printing 1976 NMINT Condition)".

Book 7? Must be rare. But I'm glad to see that he, also, "would love to see this item in the hands of a well-intended collector who can really appreciate it for what it's worth."

Or am I off base here?

There was an unpunched copy of this game sold at the Origins 2008 Auction for a little over $200.00.

A punched, complete copy in excellent condition can go as high as $100. I track these (loosely) for some damn reason. An unpunched copy in great condition is probably worth the $200. They are extremely rare - I don't think I have seen an unpunched in quite some time.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

The seller has several D&D rulebooks as a lot, including a 1st print of the Erol Otus one, all for $15

http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-OF-6-TSR-DUNGEO ... dZViewItem

Also, in case anyone's interested, his other auction is for some miscellaneous D&D board game stuff for $10. Seems inexpensive if you're missing some pieces/boards...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

By the way, some of the original artwork for these board maps were up on Ebay not too long ago .. not sure if someone on the site wound up buying one or more.

Not so interesting - common fair missing boxes and bits.
