For immediate release (as they say in the press):

The NTRPG Con is proud to announce we will be selling limited edition booklet copies of Tim Kask's adventures "High in the Hellgate Mountains" and "Temple of the Weaver Queen" at the con. ONLY AVAILABLE at the con, in limited quantities of 50 copies each, these adventures were presented (respectively) at the 2009 Gencon Acaeum Game and 2009 NTRPG Con, and have never been available before except in extremely rare DM copies auctioned or given away at the Gen Con Acaeum dinner or NTRPG Con #1.

The adventures will be in small booklet form, limited to one per attendee, with only 50 copies available of each adventure. Tim plans in the future to present these and other specially written adventures in a more traditional format, but for right now this is the ONLY way to get a look at two great old school OD&D adventures in their original form!

I was frightened for a moment as I read the release.  I thought my DM copies of both adventures would be devalued.  But all is good with the small booklet format.  Look forward to getting a copy.

No, just want to reiterate these are booklet sized, facsimile copies. They will be easy to differentiate from the DM copies, plus they aren't numbered, signed, etc.

Mars and anyone interested;

Unless you are attending, probably not. These are limited to 50 copies of each module per Tim's wishes, so there is a chance everyone attending wont even get one as we have over 70 people registered and are expecting 100 attendees (so it will be first come, first served).  Releasing them at the con is a promotional device to get people to attend the con, we hope each year to release "NTRPG Con Only" products like this to promote the con.

Also wanted to reiterate that at a future time, Tim wants to release all his "special edition" adventures such as these, the Garycon adventures, the NTRPG Con and Acaeum adventures this year, etc in a "proper" format.  This is just a bit of a market test and also will help the con out financially and let old school gamers have a peek at Tim's stuff.

BTW we will also have future announcements concerning other con releases that I am dying to announce but have to wait a bit longer.....!

How does one get in line for one of these books?  Just tell me where to stand, and I'm there!

The great news will continue.   I have so many awesome announcements I can afford to stretch them out.....!

I have been contacted by a gentleman named HARLEY STROH about running games at NTRPG Con.  These games would be playtests of the new Goodman Games DCC system that created quite a buzz when Joe Goodman himself ran them at Garycon this year.  The system is very old school in style and tone.

Many of you know that Harley is one of the main architects of the DCC line of adventures, having written most of the best adventures including Iron Crypt of the Heretics and War of the Witch Queen, both turned into 1st Edition adventures. We are very excited to have Harley come to NTRPG Con this year!

That's awesome!  Mike do you have time slots for him?  Looked like most of the time is taken already.

Right now all we have left are Friday morning, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning slots. But we might open another Friday or Saturday evening slot should Harley prefer an evening game. We are expecting Friday and Saturday nights to have the most walk up and thus the games scheduled might fill up enough to be able to run another game.

I regret to inform everyone involved that I will have to cancel my appearance (and event) at NTRPGcon.

There's quite a bit of BS going on in Springfield (RE: State of Illinois, House Bill 4900) at the moment, involving my job, and if there will still be one, come next month.

I'll be canceling a few other trips this summer as well. Gencon will still be a go, but I'll be selling quite a bit more there, and buying a lot less.

Sorry guys,

Andrew

Sorry to hear it Andrew. Good luck dealing with the bullshit of real life; your event was full which I think was a testament to the interest in your session. We loved having you last year and were looking forward to another appearance of IO...

I'm going to work on just moving everyone registered in Andrew's game over to Harley Stroh's DCC game if everything goes as planned and he runs a Saturday morning session. I'm also overdue for a talk with Tacojon about running another game (Saturday morning) so rest assured if you are already signed up we'll have at least two choices for you. The joys of running a con!!!!

I'll keep my postings at the Con site: http://NTRPGCon.com so as not to have to post all over the place.

Definitely more info coming soon as we get in the last few weeks of the Con ...

This is how incredibly awesome we are; we have everything ready to roll after the unfortunate loss of Andrew's game

Tacojon has committed to a Saturday morning session; he wants to start late (9 am) but run 5-6 hours, which we can do on Saturday. As for Andrew's game, everyone will be automatically switched to Harley's DCC game, and if you aren't interested you can let me know and I'll remove you.  Harley will be running another game either Saturday night or Sunday morning, details later.

We are also proud to announce that gaming legend Dennis Sustare will be running a S&W game Friday night, details to be announced when we get them figured out.  Dennis has already written the scenario, his first in many, many years, and it will be exciting to see what he's come up with.

Mike,

Thanks for automatically switching those of us who signed up for Andrew's game into Harley's game.  Man, I cannot wait to get to the con.
