Son and I didn't make it into his game but it seems he is in your Thursday night Mythrus Tower session which means that even though we aren't in his game, we get to sit in a game with him as a player!

I've only played 2e Paranoia, but from what I understand, the 1e version has a much more dystopian, black humor vibe than the 2e one does.  I haven't read the 1e version yet to compare.  Some details @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paranoia_% ... nd_edition

That's awesome, Ronald  I loved the humor so much in the early published Paranoia modules, that it was a game I never created anything original for (except for random form names, which I was pretty good at having worked in two different hospitals over the years ):  I always ran the published adventures, and when they stopped being funny, I pretty much stopped buying them.
