The problem is that when you ship insured, customs look more carefully to packages and you will be charged by custom fees. With no insurance, customs do not look to package and you have no fee. The 3 times I chose to insure a package from US, it was blocked at the customs.  Each times... and these was the only times that customs blocked my packages.

I guess that I would be the same anywhere in Europe, incl. UK.

Thank goodness for living in Hong Kong.

As a duty free country, we don't have to pay any duties or taxes on imported products.

Course my shipping costs will probably end up being the most expensive out of everyone... so I guess it balances out...

You are correct:  Bracton's print took the fifteen-day mystery trip.  

Only two tubes had problems in transit and, of those two prints, only one print suffered some minor creasing.  I believe the print was fine once framed.  

The postage to Canada, not counting the tube, was $21.25.

Yes, the declared value has a great influence on the customs' attention. My last blocked package was for a Cthulian painting from Paul Carrick (paid $300) and which was shipped Express mail and insured for this value.
There is a maximum price in France to avoid tax, it is around 50€ incl. shipping IIRC (65$). So packages around, or just above this value will not be blocked.

Anyway, ok.. here's my suggestion for the art piece AND, of course, this is just an idea that probably nobody will like and I'll get chewed out for being dumb, but I have a Forums AC of -10 so  ..

I would love to see the series incorporate 'famous scenes from classic crawls' and show various adventurers in famous dungeon encounters from the early days.

For example; a party exploring the room of Pools in B1; Fighting giant Frogs in T1 in the entry to the Gatehouse, or perhaps (if he's feeling really energetic) facing down the King of the Fire Giants in the great hall.

It doesn't have to be EXPLICITLY spelled out that we're referencing those works since that might be a copyright issue (but I don't think it would be anyway unless we re-used liknesses or text).  But it would be awesome and also give a framework for the artist to work with.

That's my idea.  If I win the mega-millions lottery I'm going to have this done by my personal staff of famous fantasy artists.
