Check the CZUW thread in the non TSR forum (can't link as I am typing from my phone but I think it is titled upper works review) for info on the shrink history.  IIRC none came sw from TLG, that was done at the distributor or retail level, though I don't recall if there was any definitive confirmation on this.  In my opinion, that means there is no additional value in a sw copy over non sw, but that does not make Jason a shady dealer.  I don't think Jason is trying to mislead anyone.

The two copies I've owned were bought at a local store and were both shrinkwrapped.  Obviously I have no idea at what point the shrinkwrap got on there.

It seems an eBay seller from Singapore who is currently having seven 4th Edition "Tombs of Horrors" modules and many MTG cards up for sale has strange/curious bids on his stuff ... maybe "shill". I explain :

* this is the first time they sells items on eBay : 41 +FBs but only for 138 items won  no items sold ... not yet !

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&ftab=AllFeedback&userid=movingtonewao&iid=-1&de=off&interval=0&items=200

* check his current items for sale :

* if already sold, check there :

* do as me, choose two random items (yes, any one will work !), check bids history, and you will find this 0-rated eBay ID bids ...  on each item !!! s***g (0+) ; for example :

Wow, that may be the clearest case of shilling I've ever seen on Ebay. Good spot, Lurker.

The spot was very easy : i was watching every "Tomb of Horror" modules this seller has for sale, hoping to buy one at a good price and as usual was checking bids ...   8O

For your information, buyer's ID serangoonmagic2010 also lives in Singapore and seller's ID movingtonewao has already left +FB to "them" (in fact, himself) :

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=serangoonmagic2010&ftab=AllFeedback

if it wasn't *** shill *** it would have been very curious for the bidder to have already paid 'cause the (shady) buyer has other bids in progress

In this case, shill is an evidence !

I think eBay has to create a new tool for buyers : "The forbidden seller's list"

This lot has already been auctioned, and received by the buyer (a member here), but has been relisted with identical picture/description. No response to inquiries. Just thought it worth a mention in case anyone is bidding; without an explanation from the seller, hard not to draw the conclusion that the seller liked the original winning bid and is trying to sell the stuff "again".

I don't get it. I've only ever had 1 item 'not make it' alledgedly to the buyer. And I had to re-imburse them. Hows this guy going to get away with it, or is it different in the US to the UK?

I'm not sure that's his plan, but it does seem fishy. I seriously doubt he has a second, identical lot. It is a new seller (or at least a new account, 6 feedback), so maybe he doesn't realize how it would play out with eBay/PayPal.

Makes sense. Maybe he thinks he can get away with it. He'll learn...

Check the earliest of those 6 feedback and you will see the first time this lot was auctioned ($473, depending on condition and the number of shrinkwrapped items it might not be a bad deal).

Hmm. As Meta says, this new lot is the same with identical listing and picture!

Right. I'm not saying the original price is too high (as JZ points out, depending on how much of it is in shrink, etc., could be a sweet find), just that someone else paying that much or even half that for nothing would be an issue. I asked Zenfinite (the buyer), and he says he has the items in hand (I think his exact words were "grubby little hands," LOL), and didn't mention any dissatisfaction.

I wrote to the seller and asked if this was the same lot as was listed previously or duplicate items, and asked if these were stock photos.

Thanks. Maybe he'll reply to one of us. I did too (yesterday morning) but haven't had a response. The original buyer did as well, and hadn't heard as of the time I contacted him (last night). I'd like to bid if it's legit.

The seller has responded to someone's question about the shrink:

Q: Which items are still in shrink?
A: It is duplicates these are now my mine. The first was my deceased brothers. Mom/dad made us happy by given us equal gifts. they are in good shape. The ones in shrink wrap are m39174, da39191,h29168, and 0849203

Clearly the seller is a rocket scientist with a high degree of integrity, so no worries about bidding   .

Another proof how unfair Acaeum members can ruin a seller's reputation in less than two days : in case you have no proof, please wait the seller's answer and shut up !

 ruining a reputation is very easy, but restoring it is always very difficult - even if you state another point later.
Meta, i really think your last message is not enough : it would be better to edit ALL of your messages concerning this seller to amend your mistake IN EACH OF THEM ...

How will you really react in case you were pointed out in a new topic called "Idiot Lucky Luke Acaeum members" ?

Some sellers here may be accused of outrageous shipping charges, but noone want to state it ... in name of what ? Status Quo ? Just because they are Acaeum members, and we all saw what happened concerning Tharizdun when he was pointed out by another "idiot Lucky Luke", isn't it ?

So i recommand to all of you to try to be fair and wait to be sure before ruining other sellers reputations or doubting about their honesty.
Thanks you very much for your understanding, as it may also happen to all of us.

Kindest regards.

No.

The listing is very, very suspicious, and the seller has selectively responded to one inquiry which is patently staged (note that he answers a question that isn't even asked), rather than answer everyone's questions individually. He states that he and his deceased brother were given exact duplicates of every single item in the lot when they were children; presumably the modules in this lot are in precisely the same condition as those in the last, hence the identical picture.

Likely he's a deposed Nigerian prince, as well.

Look, I was just trying to point out potential fraud, so someone here wouldn't get burned. Take it or leave it.

Whoa, lurker! Meta has made a good call here, IMO, its a tip off.

Go win the items and come back to show they are genuine. Right now, I'd not take a punt on this seller, its far to dubious.
Thats not saying it is, it just looks it.
