Truth be told, I think there is that a reason that guy with as much talent as TO has never won a championship.  While obviously football is the perhaps the supreme team sport and you can't put the onus of winning a championship on one player, that one player can certainly be a major factor in them not winning one. TO doesn't even know the definition of the word team.

Really too bad, because he's a talented (but flawed) individual.  After detesting him for years when he played for the 49s and Eagles, I have to admit having a grudging respect for the guy after his years here in Dallas.  The guy wants to win, you can't fault that, doesn't sit out with phantom (or real) injuries, and just wants to play. Problem is, he's not 25 anymore, and I think where most veteran WRs would segue into a role on a team like Derrick Mason, Hines Ward or Amani Toomer have done, TO instead thinks he should be the focal part of the offense.  Anyone watching him every game this year would realize he's lost a step....  That, and his well publicized propensity of shooting his mouth off, may end up shortening his career in the league.

Make no mistake a guy like TO would still be here if his salary cap hit was less.  Not to mention guys like Thugman Jones (who despite what many say, WILL be resigned by some team in the NFL, just watch) who if he hadn't managed a pathetic 4.3 yds in punt returns with no INTS this year would still be a Cowboy.  Hell, if he had averaged 15 yds a return with a couple TD runbacks, and picked 4-5 passes, he'd still be wearing the star. Unfortunately it's the nature of the business.  Look at a piece of trash like Steve Smith of the Panthers (who assaulted his own teammate, for God's sake) where all is forgiven and forgotten due to production.

I'm hoping Darth Jerry's latest foray into the Dark Side with signings of Owens, Tank Johnson and Thugman has taught him a lesson.  Team chemistry isn't anything quantifiable, and in truth, may be overrated (look at the disfunctional mess the Bronx Zoo was in the 70's when they were pumping out championships) but as BC says I'd rather lose without these guys than win with them at this point.

And if TO goes to the Giants...oh my......

I don't think Atlanta will sign him.  Sure, they could use another quality receiver besides Roddy White, but the Falcon's Owner, Arthur Blank and, more importantly, the general manager, Dimitroff, is on a youth movement with the Falcons right now.  That's why they let Warrick Dunn, Algee Crumpler and other good, but older, players go.

Plus, the whole fiasco with the Michael Vick episode will likely make the organization PR-risk averse.

I'd say the Raiders are more likely than Atlanta.  Or, were you being facetious?

They'll be more humanitarian supplies down the pike before you know it...more goodies the people in charge can pick through, steal and sell for weapons.  The amounts of food, supplies and medicine that actually get through to the ones who need it is appalingly low, as most is taken and sold on the black market for weapons or just good old cash.  Still remember how little actual stuff got to those in need when Live Aid collected millions and dribbled out a few dimes to the actual starving masses....

Yes this was classic - He was paid something like £325K for this, and was originally going to source it to other artists but it proved too pricey - classic stuff.

(Though perhaps the artist makes a fair point about Europe and it's politics - good luck to him I say )
