In the Luddite league it's a bit lopsided. After squeezing into the playoffs by 0.4 points and upsetting the #1 seed Cubes in the 1st round, Badmike's Shrews are playing PaulKM's Puguglies for the trophy. And te Uglies played strong and won a deserved championship. Well done Paul - well played, sir. Well played indeed.

Mike

Thanks for the kind words. :)

The Shrews had an amazing run to the final:  Good game, Mike (the bad one), and thank you for running the Luddite's League.

Best,

Paul

Surfaced from a trip to the wilderlands of North Florida to find the decidedly mixed news that I ended in first place in the Acaeum league and LAST place in the Luddite league.  Good Lord.  Have a sneaking suspicion that the Flailing Minotaurs gave me a break by not playing Webb.  Congrats to the Puguglies on their win in the Luddites.  Crazy year.  But the Gators won today, so am quite content on all fronts.  Happy New Year to all!

Hi Jo -

I didn't cut you any breaks - you won fair and square.

I picked up Webb to think about him for a bit, but in the end I decided that as he stands behind centre and takes the snaps, that means he's a quarterback. As I only had a WR spot free, I couldn't play him. I don't care how Yahoo had him set up - he's a QB so that's the only spot he can play.

Congrats on the win! I'm sure that's not the first time someone has gone from an 0-5 start to the championship, but it must be rare. Well done on some savvy and astute managing!

Regards
Mike

There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. To join, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning. (Error #638)

My team was in the league last year!

How come it won't allow me to sign up?

Wait....is my team already signed up and ready to go because I was in the league last year?

The Freeport Buccaneers may already be set to roll.....?

Because the league is STILL full of last years teams.  It wont allow anyone else to sign up.

The Freeport Buccaneers are ready to roll again!

(In this case, "roll" would mean make the playoffs, hopefully, this time.)

I have been in a fantasy league for almost 20 years, we have used the following software the last 10 years.  A major step up from the Yahoo Leagues if you don't mind spending a few bucks:
