I also have an account at Cafepress, but haven't set anything up there, though I will in case there are some items not available from one site or the other. Seems you can only get embroidery done on Polo shirts at Zazzle and that's not required at Cafepress, just to note one thing.

Anyway, but what you like.

you'll notice the logo when you enter ntrpgcon.com website shows the logo with a Weathered look to it... worn edges etc. That logo is not going to be used this year for the Con. Since it's our first Con, I went with the "pristine" logo from Jason on all items, NEXT year and all future years will use the "weathered" looking logo... so all swag from the 1st NTRPGCon will be "unique" (for that day 20 years from now when you sell that Near Mint T-Shirt from the first NTRPGCon on eBay)

No buttons and no bumber stickers, but baby bibs and infant body suits we can get?


I aint wearing either of those....
And neither is my oldest grandson.
He is 13 years old not 13 months...


I can easily imagine the Con selling 50 or more buttons and almost as many bumper stickers, But can anyone imagine that many bibs or baby bodysuits going out?

The Zazzle site offers T-Shirts big enough for those of us who fill up more space than most, but CafePress only offers up to 2x.
Unfortunately (it seems) the only type of shirt we can get is the white T-Shirt from Zazzle.

The transparent PNG I sent over is specifically optimized for cafepress' black/dark shirts. It might be neat to see some of those (unless the logo doesn't look good on them?). I'm a fan of the stain-hiding power of DARK!  

The problem with the Dark shirt, according to both sites is... they don't print WHITE...

so ANY white in the logo will show as the color of the shirt since no ink will print in those areas... so that doesn't look so good with the logo having the white star and the half the shield in white.

But I'll review it one more time to be sure...

Ok, it seems that Zazzle allows it, but CafePress does not....

So I am creating a design for the Dark Shirts at Zazzle

This is what I read at CafePress:

3.  - On colored fabrics be aware that any white in your image will show as the color of the fabric. White ink is not possible in our current dye sublimation process. Also very light colors may be affected by the color of the shirt.


now I also just found an area on CafePress to "design for black", and it's suppose to print the white... so I guess I'll disregard the above line of info from CafePress and give it a shot as well

That's true of most T-shirt companies.  When I looked into getting t-shirts made for Gencon last year, black T-shirts were the most expensive.

I didn't change anything about the pricing of the T-Shirts, so black must be more expensive by default.

I know when you choose the White T-Shirt and the click to choose a different "style" and all you do is select a different light color like pink, yellow, grey etc .. it's like $2.95 per shirt more ...

Ok, I tried to get the prices close at both sites.

One allows an override price, the other is a percentage... so it's not exact.

I think I like Zazzle better since I can add the typed print as well at no additional cost.

I wanted to get a Polo, but at Zazzle it has to be embroidered and the conversion fee from an image to a sewing graphic is anywhere from $30.00 to $175.00 PER image size... so that's not an option ...

The embroidery at CafePress appears to always be in a circle design, not your actual logo on the material, where as Zazzle is your design on the material.

At Zazzle this requires a conversion to a OFM file.

...You are charged a conversion fee once each time you translate a design at a specific size to an embroidery stitch file... containing the color and stitching information required to guide an automated embroidery machine...

So if you can do this ... bring it on
