my daughter loves getting involved in games, so she is going to be your official map-drawer etc. she loves doing that.

and she does other little things like finding a page in a book, rolling dice etc shes pretty cool. and of course, shes been told to look sinister at mike, so he can begin to wonder whats around the next corner :)

I'm booked into Embassy Suites with my wife (non-gamer) and a friend (gamer).   I'm really looking forward to this!

Just booked my flight as well (I love the internet!).  Only thing that sucks about that is I cant fly Southwest Airlines.  They dont fly non-stop to Indy.  I would have to change planes in either Atlanta, Houston, Kansas City, or Memphis.

KC or Memphis wouldnt be too bad if the layover was a few hours....at least then I could get some good BBQ.     But I would rather just get there and be done with it.  So I gotta fly the unfriendly skies (American Airlines) and deal with the small, cramped, uncomfortable seats.  :x

Only 191 more days to go!  :P

Martin/Mike...

it actually doesnt matter if you can't find/place your hands on them. i will simply pre-gen some new characters, with outlines of the old ones, as this adventure is taking place some years after your initial foray into the Manor.

Al, I have mine but they are in a box somewhere in the garage.  I had to pack everything in my house up and move it out there in preparation for our carpet to be replaced this weekend.  I also don't have a working scanner either at home or at work.  But once I get my hands on them I can always PM you the stats or whatever you need.

john

doesnt really matter chummer. dont trouble yourself. would have been cool if y'all had them to hand, so i will just create new pre-gens and just use an outline of the old characters. as its some years on anyway, a lot has changed and all that anyhow.

:)

And... Gen Con LLC just announced that it's filing for bankruptcy.

But they say that Gen Con Indy is still on.

Still, I hope you guys got refundable plane tickets.

Bah....chapter 11 means next to nothing anymore.  Probably half the companies on the planet have filed bankruptcy at one time or another and are still viable entities.  Even if Gen Con was cancelled I would still be going to Indy.  The lot of us can hang out at Prufrock's house eating pizza, drinking beer, and playing through Tegel Manor for a few days.  Maybe Frank and Tim can drive down and hang with us.  Just have to make sure he brings a kringle or two.  :D

Gen Con LLC and THE Gen Con are two different animals entirely.  I wonder if this is more fallout from the cancellation of Gen Con So Cal.  I always thought the dilution of the brand name was not a good idea, the model of the multiple Gen Cons really didn't seem to fit the brand name very well.  Apparantly this strategy left the company in the red and the bankruptcy was a more expediant way of dealing with it.

Yeah, I know. I'm just being a smart-ass. Gen Con Indy 2008 is probably fine. (Heck, they're probably already put down deposits on everything.) It's Gen Con 2009 that I'd be a little worried about, if Gen Con LLC doesn't get its act together moneywise.

Their press release seems to be blaming the Star Wars Celebration that they've been running. (In fact, Lucasfilm is suing them for a million dollars over proceeds from a charity auction.)  So it sounds like the plan is to drop outside projects and focus on the guaranteed money-maker.  Let's hope it makes enough money to pay the old bills and still fund the next Gen Con.

Go figure....like Lucas needs more money.  I oughta sue that prick for the debacle that was Episodes 1-3.  I cried for days after seeing Revenge of the Sith.     Someone oughta hunt down and break Hayden Christensen's legs for the awful acting job that he did.
