Just... perfect... Wow! Everytime I look to these pictures I am like a children in the biggest toy store in the world.  :cyclopsani:

I definitely like the little stratodwarf with his blue gloves of power!

Color me unimpressed.

I have an attachment to a few of those items:  Bill outbid me on them at the Gencon Auction.

No words...just a couple of questions:

1. Is your collection insured? Can it be insured?
2. I see it is very exposed (as it should be, it is awesome!). How do you keep it in such great shape (clean, shiny, many items SW), especially from curious fingers, such as little Stratokid there?
3. How in the world did you get NINE woodgrains and ELEVEN white boxes? And I don't mean pay, I mean WHERE?
4. Is your wife (or husband, or partner, or whatever) a D&D freak like you?
5. Are you a minor deva or some sort of demi-god? Can you tell me: is there a heaven?

Congrats on a great collection. I might have to do a hajj to your house someday.

:D

1) one among many: collectibles insurance services in maryland
2)Billy knows those are daddy's books; he has plenty of his own upstairs
3)short answer: over time. i bought the Terry Kuntz brown box 1981ish. i bought the Rob Kuntz box 1987ish. Tim Kask I 1996ish. Tim Kask II (the one with the duct-taped corner) 2005ish. Brian Blume 2010. The one Billy is holding (the same one shown by itself) i got from my brother-in-law 1992ish.
4) no. but my dear wife is very patient and kind.
5) HAH, no. i sure hope so.
6) you're welcome anytime, just drop me a line. this goes for all acaeumites.
p.s. the baby stratochamp with latex gloves photo was an homage to a Badmike photo caption from several years ago. he doesn't actually wear those around the house. or play with brown/white boxes.
p.p.s thank you Bracton for taking and posting the pictures. by the way, the silver and black Jem'Hadar phaser rifle from Deep Space Nine under the Otus print was a gift from Bracton.

Simply exquisite. I like the bookcases themselves very much also. Need to do something of the sort myself some day.

---

I too have had little to no problem with the boys messing with Daddy's books. Very early on I patiently and repeatedly explained to them that they were not to touch them without asking (I didn't want to discourage them from touching all books, so I wanted to leave the "asking" opportunity open), and I've never had a problem. They often play right in front of the book shelves, and it doesn't worry me a bit.

Plus, on some level I think they know that if they intentionally or even negligently damaged something, their upstairs Legoland/Bakugan/model train/Beyblade paradise might meet with a similar unfortunate "accident". Sort of the parental equivalent of mutually assured destruction (yes, I'm kidding :)).

Riiiiiiight.  I have it on good authority that Baby Stratochamp has been getting up early, picking the lock on the door, sneaking into the room, and coloring in portions of the Domesday books!   His preferred color: Azure Blue from the 64 crayon pack....!

Thanks for telling me about that picture, Bill, I missed it!

Tried pushing that often enough (in general rather than unilaterally co-opting the above depicted collection(s)!). No takers; everyone for themselves and good luck working out the history. :)

What a wonderful collection, Bill!  Thanks for sharing photos of such an awe inspiring gaming horde. It brought tears to my eyes. :)

By the way, does Little Strato have a Paypal account yet? He might want a few action figures to play with instead of those boring old boxes, books, and papers. ;)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

Next time we make it to Gencon, we can work a scam, Smarmy:

"Hey cute little Baby Stratochamp, how about this HUGE sack of candy for all those dumb brown boxes of your daddy's that you can carry????"

So what's going on here?  Are you...

:P

Nope: Just storage of my oop stock of TFG microgames and Pacesetter shrinked modules:

And while I was at it, I took a few more pictures. Not all the tubs, because I just don't have the time right now...

Martin,
I got that as a throw in with the miniatures. I think I bought a lot that included the Chill box set and miniatures along with some modules. I opened the box when it arrived and there it was. I had never seen it before or since. That was about eight years ago. Not something that has a bunch of dollar value, but I consider it one of the coolest items in my collection - you just don't see these things anywhere. One day, it is getting framed.

Wonderfull Chill poster!
Finally, you didn't manage to know where or in what it was released? This is the kind of product that I really would like to find :)

I am pretty sure it was never released. I think it was probably sent to distributors and on to some hobby shops. They may have given some away at a convention, say Gen Con or Origins. But I never missed either convention back then and I never saw it. I had some connections with the old Pacesetter and I never even knew they did this thing. But that was a long time ago and I may have missed it somehow.
I will keep my eyes open for you. I need to get in contact with some of the old Pacesetter guys, too. If I get a chance I will bring it up.

It would be great! Thank you very much :)
I have several posters like this for some French RPGs or supplements. I need to frame them. I will take pictures.
