I was watching these a little while ago.  I seems like the top end was around $65 and the low at $35 for sealed copies.  I'm really not sure what drives these prices either.  The game itself seems to be fairly mass produced so I question the comments about their rarity.  If you look, you can still find these (usually now discounted) on some store shelves - usually the independant game stores.  On my last road trip to my hometown, I picked up 3 new copies from 2 different stores for between $10-$15.

I think, like most everything else, it's a matter of geography. When I was in California, there were three game stores in the town I lived -- of them, one had the game. And, one copy. It sold in one day. They never ordered, or never got, another copy.

Those who can, don't. Those who should not, do.

I've been trying to pick one of these up for a reasonable price for a while.  They seem to go for way too much on eBay.  If someone know where I can pick one of for a more reasonable price, please let me know.  $10-$15 is what I would consider reasonable.

I've been looking at that one. I have an incomplete set of the same printing. I sent a message to find out which page was missing, but after about 36 hours, no reply. Does the writing look like pencil or pen? I can't really tell, but it looks like pen.

I knew about Warriors of Mars, but "incunabula" is a new vocab word for me, thanks! That doesn't happen every day :).

*g* That looks soooo wrong in a bookish context. :)
Mind you, the likes of "This is a very rare true collector's item. It is a gemstone in any collection" ain't exactly unpretentious, either. ;)

*ducks*

*g* Thanks; I was just looking for another water-stained OCE to compare against. Heh, heh...
(Was actually going to say that you were pretty darned quick off the mark, too!)

s'OK; have already asked them for better pics and to check against that U&WA, too, although it looks "obvious" enough even from that fuzzed image provided.
