Hey guys;

First, let me apologize for not hurrying this project along. NTRPG Con and the prints arrived roughly the same week, and I had to delay the shipment while that epic event was wrapped up. During the con we managed to distribute several of the 65 prints (Grodog, Scketwhisp, Gus Landt, Kingofpain, LucyJoyce, Gnat Begger, and of course my copy and the two "extra" copies, one of which will be auctioned off at next year's NTRPG Con).  Sorry it's remained only nine distributed copies since then, as aftermath from the con, health issues, and lots of other OT issues cropped up in the last month to prevent me sinking my teeth into the project.

That being said, prints will start shipping out this week!!!

With a huge caveat.....

I am going to ship out to the first EIGHT (actually the first 10, excluding Benjoshua, who is going to be out of town in Haiti and asked me to hold his up, and Grodog who already has his copy).  Then I am going to await feedback from those eight on the list to see if everything went ok. Luckily, the first eight destinations consist of a great cross section of places (Canada, France, Australia, the US, etc) so we can calculate time of arrival for all future shipments, along with condition of the tubes, etc.  Also, luckily, these are some of the best, oldest and most trusted members of The Acaeum (Mars, Smarmy, Le Rahib, Bombadil, Misterspock, Simrion, PaulKM and Mdr003) so in a sense they are "guinea pigs" to see if the process functions as it's supposed to. All of these gentlemen have my trust and my confidence they will honestly appraise the items and suggest any improvements in the shipping process. After I ship these eight there will be a small lagtime so I can get comments and any other tidbits from the Amazing Eight concerning tube size and quality, method of packing, etc.

Anyway, if you are one of the eight, your package will ship out this week, so please let me know when it arrives and anything else you need to add. Unfortunately for overseas members and Canadians, you may have a small customs charge as to protect ourselves I decided to declare the value on the package....but being under $100 I hope you wont get dinged too bad (or at all).  I don't have email addresses handy but you can always email me and I will send in the tracking numbers (I will try to find this info today, I'm sure the committee has sent it to me at some point).

When these 8 have gotten their packages, hopefully that is all the "test" shipments I will need, and the entire bunch of these can begin shipping immediately after!

Thanks so much to all of you for trusting us on this and for putting up with all the small delays, but the end result will surely have been worth it.

I appreciate all the time, effort and care everyone has put into this project but just send me my print already. They are insured and it's not as though you have never shipped something through the mail before. I know you will do your best in packing it and after that it's out of your hands.

I don't know if Erol will be at Gen Con this year (doubt it) but I was hoping to have my print by then and maybe get a picture taken with him. At this rate I may not have it by next year's Gen Con.

Even if nobody else says it, I'm guessing I'm not alone in my thoughts. Thanks for hearing me out.

Hey, legitimate complaints. I will agree that 30 posts in five years doesn't give you high cred here, but it's not a totally undeserved point. You paid for your print and you want it sooner rather than later. But nothing was promised to anyone except you would get a print. So far that promise is being kept; there is a good reason we didn't promise anything more than that, and you are seeing the reason.

I'm not going into the reasons why the shipping was delayed as these have been covered and I'm not rehashing old news.

But no time table was put on this project for a reason. I suggest those impatient for the prints do themselves, and us, a favor and do NOT in the future sign up for open ended projects that are completely volunteer.  You are bound to be disappointed when things don't go exactly as planned.

Best I can say is you'll get it when you get it, and that goes for everyone on the list.  Hey, at least we aren't doing a Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity to ya....

I bet a lot of sleepless nights at the least...

Not that bad.  The committee was excellent, and we worked together well.  It took a lot of time, but wasn't draining.  It was definitely a labor of love, so if there was any sleep lost, it was due to excitement.  

Kudos to the EO Committee for a job well done!  The print looks awesome and is much more vivid than any of the photos previously posted.  I saw a copy at the NTRPG Con, but this one seems even better perhaps because the one at the Con had bacon double cheeseburger stains and smelled vaguely of giant shrew musk. Wonder how that got there?

Seriously though, the print arrived safely with absolutely no damage.  Mike did an excellent job with the packaging and not even my local, postal destructors could harm this one.
