I'm giving you a 20 point head start pre-matches and we'll see how the scores shake out.

I'll leave the talking to the stars on the field, the guys who have the skills to pay the bills, the team of which you can only dream.

The Freeport Buccaneers had Michael Vick on their bench in Week 10.

Now he's the starter.

Never thought I'd be cheering for Vick.  8O

(Oh - And start the timer for Vick's season-ending injury.  There is a reason why quarterbacks do not carry the ball like running backs.  It amazes me that none of the commentators waxing poetic about Vick can remember what happened in Atlanta.)

I also had Vick on the bench in the Luddite league. I started Peyton, who mustered all of 7 points against Cinci. Vick racks up 57 points, and I lose the game.... by 0.3 points.

I actually started Vick in one of my leagues (my main QB was Rivers, who was off).  Not only did I beat my opponent by 50 pts, I jumped up two spots in the rankings due to points scored. Watch him crap it up this week vs the Giants as everyone rushes to add him to their starting QB spot....!

I love the way the No-Hopers finally did some drops pickups this week in anticipation of the grudge match!!! Not like when we played them and half the team wasn't starting due to off weeks......

The general pattern with Vick is for everyone to remember the brilliant games and forget the bad ones.

Lots of people (with me leading the pack) felt that Matt Schaub should have started over Vick at Atlanta.

Also - Vick's brilliant streaks are always brief because quarterbacks are not supposed to run the ball.  There is a reason why running back careers are short and the great ones still burn out at 31 while many quarterbacks play into their mid to late 30's.

unfortunately, I keep forgetting and am used to playing the fantasy football over here, where players that dont play get replaced by players from your bench.

He's already missed games this year due to injury (from running in a TD).  I hope the Eagles sign him to a nice long deal...you're right, he won't last three years at this pace.

It won't matter next week when the Bears crush the Eagles...

It's early and arrogant (but then that's me...), but it's not too early to start singing the Superbowl Shuffle now, is it?

The Bears looked good vs Miami last night.....but there just seems to be something missing.  Their WR corps is pedestrian and I think that will eventually stop them if they come up against a team that can bottle up Forte.  And Cutler still has a couple of 3 Int games in him.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that what was missing might have been a quarterback to play for Miami.

Good game for the Lions vs the Cowboys.....those guys can't catch a break, Bill.  They got screwed on a couple calls vs the boys, and the Boys got lucky on a few others.  Hopefully the Lions can shock the world Thursday vs the Pats....

And speaking of Pats, what a game vs the Colts.  I really thought the Colts would either tie it up or win there at the end.  Still, that was a helluva football game! Colts were down 31-14 in the 4th quarter, Peyton woke up, the Colts scored two TDs to put it within three. Then, with only a minute left and moving downfield to score, Manning threw a terrible pick to finish it off.  Sorry Martin if they keep it up the Cowboys/Colts game in a few weeks might be a must win for the Colts.

Considering that we were playing our 3rd stringers and some practive squad members on both sides of the ball, I consider tonight a win.  Peyton screwed up.  We can live with that, because he screws up so infrequently.

Glad I decided to throw this weeks Match-up, as Plaag's Legion obviously need the points more than the No-Hopers!

To be projected as 86+ points and receive only 47 though... :x

I think I should retire from this competion next season....

Noooooooooooooooo!

Serious though, I can understand.  I was in a baseball league and had the worst luck with my players so after that first year I quit that.  Regarding this league I'm not my usual trash talking self, watching less games and have other matters to deal with.

You'll just have to be my whipping boy on the VB

Hmmm, wonder if they have a soccer league? :D

The 'soccer' League can be played via the Premier League official site and after winning 2 of the last 3 years, I'm having a bad run of form unfortunately. But maybe we can run an Acaeum League for those who know about real football :D
