I'd imagine I'm on the ignore list, so keep me off of the "isn't on the list, list". but back to the thread, I haven't any woodworking or framing skills, but know that professional framing is expensive. End of.

However, I also know that a Walmart or similar frame of sufficient size with perhaps some card framing the print inside the actual wooden (or whatever material framework itself) is a damn sight cheaper. Question is, will it look as good? Possibly not. Will anyone care? Possibly not. Does it matter, until funds allow or a matching sized quality? No (IMHO)

Edit - I've never had an issue with JZ, but the unprovoked recent attacks on Mars & now dsaunders are ridiculous. Add me to your list or whatever, but you're losing any remaining respect on here I feel...

meh

personally, if the piece is very expensive, its worth investing in a decent frame. if it isnt, well then its dependant on your perspective what you do with it.

if you want to spend, then do so. if you dont, then just pin it on the wall!!

its always down to the individual as to what they want to do - you shouldnt have to have an opinion about it forced down your throat.

thats just plain silly.

its a nice piece...i seen them personally (the erol otus piece)...but i think they would look nice either in frame or not.

Hey Mike -

Are you able to give us an idea on the timetable to send out the Otis prints?

No rush... I know its a long, fiddly job that you want to get 100% right, but if you can tell us approximately when they'll be hitting the post office, that would be great.

I'll start next week; I was going to start this week but backlog items from working NTRPG Con the week before is still on my agenda. Need to get that all out of the way so I can concentrate entirely on the mailing.

Also when I mail I am going to go in order of the prints, just to make it easier to keep track of everything. So the first dozen or so will go out first, etc.

I will announce here when the first batch has gone out, what numbers they are, so everyone will know when to expect their print. I also should be able to email tracking numbers at the same time.

When I was there viewing the then recently opened crate, the highest numbered print (#65) was at the top of the stack....
With #1 being at the very bottom and they were stacked in that manner inside the shipping crate.

The easiest way might be just to do reverse alphabetical order by name

This is all utter nonsense. I think if he were a REAL DM, he'd break out the 65-side dice and start rolling to see who gets theirs first, second, and so on...
remember, if you roll the same number twice, you have to keep rolling until you get an unused number :lol:

Before Mike starts shipping, I thought I'd add one more official addendum* to the CoA.

During our first conference call with Erol on June 29th, 2009, Erol mentioned that this commission would be his first limited edition print. Given his thirty plus years in the industry, I thought I had misheard him, and jotted down a note to follow-up.

I came across my misplaced note yesterday, and sent Erol an e-mail. Erol confirmed today that the, 'Erol Otus Limited Edition Acaeum Print' is his first limited edition print.

My apologies for not following through on this sooner; but the offhand remark during a four-way conversation, my hastily scrawled note, and time, all contributed to this oversight.

Nonetheless, it's an interesting RPG-related annotation, and another bonus for our members to add to the CoA.
