Romo flat-out stunk the last week, and hasn't played like he's capable of since the injury.  He's locked in on Witten, and that creates opportunities for the defense.  He's ignoring both Williams and Owens, who have the potential for huge gains, for the tidy, safe dump pass over the middle.  Which, BTW, is why Witten has become a punching bag for the opposition this season with numerous injuries (including the broken ribs).   No one survives long in this league with those kinds of passes, and this season has probably knocked 1-2 years off the career of Witten.

Garrett isn't calling plays that can help the offense, or TO.  The stupid end around with TO getting the ball is terrible, and they haven't had positive yardage on it all year. Likewise the idiotic throw the ball to TO on the line of scrimmage and hope he jukes 4 guys for a gain.  Likewise with Williams...you have here a guy who is big enough to outjump the opposition on a pass in the endzone and you completely ignore that ability....you know, like what's his name, that dude in the Hall of Fame, oh yeh, Michael Irvin....  

TO's still an above average WR. But his forte is getting in the open ground and outrunning opposition, not juking people or running over people. Williams is a huge, physical receiver that can literally outjump and overpower opponents.  When both TO and Williams are getting 30 yds a game and not getting touches in the endzone, and your QB is instead throwing badly timed interceptions, you have to ask yourself what is up.

I'm with TO on this one. Forget the stupid 5 yd dump passes to the TE, start throwing the ball downfield, and get your big weapons Williams and Owens involved in the game.  Romo is too eager to check off the long pass and instead throw to his safety blanket...and don't think teams aren't noticing that and sitting on those routes.  Lazy quarterbacking will get you killed in this league.

Frankly, somebody like Staubach or Aikman needs to sit Romo the F*ck down, tell him that dating Jessica Simpson doesn't make him a superstar and let him know that he hasn't won dick yet and won't until he pulls his head out of his ass.

I agree that Owens has problems, serious problems, related to vanity and egocentrism.  This reminds me of the time he worked out on his front lawn in front of reporters during his tiff with the Eagles.  It's all about attention and adoration for him.

Having said that, though, I also agree that there's something amiss with Romo.  In the game against the Steelers (fucking awesome team, eh?), did you guys notice his eyes were all puffy and he had that deer in the headlights look about him like he hadn't slept all night and was a pace or two behind everything?

I didn't notice it personally, but then again, seeing guys like James Harrison and Lamar Woodley on the other side of the line of scrimage might have had something to do with that.

The official superbowl record is 3, held by quite a few players, but that record has only been kept since Superbowl XVII (huh???)  I'll have to rewatch my DVD but I believe Martin and White combined for five or six.

Sounds about right.  I was a HUGE Broncos fan back then...that one still hurts.  Didn't Morton throw 5 picks in that game?  Seems like he was either on his back or throwing picks.  Imagine the backstory too.  He and Staubach were forced to play rotating QBs on the Cowboys for at least one season, weren't they?  I think Morton was pretty bitter about that.

First C.C. Sabathia and now A.J. Burnett.  And there is a possibility that they might also be after Ben Sheets?  If they do land Sheets a lot of "experts" will be expecting the Yankees to once again make it to the World Series.  But they sure are banking a lot of money on them staying healthy.  Sheets is hurt every year.  Burnett has spent a lot of time on the DL as well.  And they will be lucky if Sabathia's arm doesnt fall off after the rigorous last month he spent in Milwaukee.  And even if it doesnt, Yankees fans better hope that C.C. doesnt fold under the pressure of being a baseball player in New York.

Can anyone really be a Yankees fan anymore? The absolute most loathed organization in the universe, IMO.  And has anything been sweeter than the Yankees, spending as much as every team in baseball combined, coming up short every year???  I swear the height of my baseball season yearly is when the Yankees get the knock out punch, usually from some team paying a 10th of their payroll, and hearing the whining and excuse making of the Yanks players and the spoiled fan base.  That, and seeing the very hateable A-Fraud continue to avoid a ring.
